  1. Hello, I've currently got a hard drive in deep scan. I hope to recover most if not all files to a second drive. I live off grid and use a comination of energy sources to power my house. At night, all but the most important sources are turned off. The scan is taking along time with a suggested completion three days from now. I need a pause button so I can shut down my power at night and resume in the morning. That's suggestion number one. Suggestion number two: I accidentally 'unallocated' a drive's partition. The restoration is a simple task, I think, of copying a backup MBR to the active MBR. At any rate, the task has got to be a simple one. Add that to your program's list of capabilities. Thanks, I've used Recuva several times over the last few years.
  2. Will the professional version work? Several other programs do detect or ask for the file system. Will the pro version do that?
  3. I mistakenly allowed Windows Disk Manager to 'allocate' two disks. When I run Reciva, the error message is 'Cannot determine file system type', more or less. The drives are formatted in NTFS. Nothing has been written to the disks since. Is there a way to get Recova to use that information (NTFS) to try and recover two disks?
  4. Hello, I'm using Recuva for the first time. This is the first time I've used drive recovery software since the IDE was the sole drive type. I'm running recuva now on a WD 1TB drive that became inaccessible. The files are accessible since I recovered a few last night. A 'Pause' button would be good. I see ETA times of several days or 10-15 hours and can't really run my laptop continuously for days. Alterenatively, a 'Stop' button that save results so the computer can be powered down without Recuva dumping data. Alternatively, clarify what expectation may be reasonable in an instance such as mine. A video of a drive recovery would be nice. Since most if not all of the files on my hard drive may be accessible, cannot those parts of the drive be restructured, so files do not have to be moved? Thank you, Jim Julian
