After using CCleaner for years, I purchased CCleaner Pro mainly because the software worked for what I wanted to use it for. Multi browser cache cleanup ( there are numerous other options as well ), registry cleanup, software uninstall, and windows startup verification in one interface. It worked great but as others have found out, you cannot disable active monitoring. Sure you can kill the process and remove the windows startup entry as long as you don't start the program again... I for one am tired of software companies pushing their "you have to run this service whether you like it or not" agendas, thinking we as users don't know what's best for us. As I climb off my soapbox now, I can only hope this issue is rectified as I am comfortable with CCleaner and really don't want to start researching alternatives.
