  1. I just updated to 6.23.11010. I no longer see the empty Edge and Google cookie remnants when a cleaning is complete. Likewise, when I look at Options > Cookies on Computer, there is no longer the extension://nkeimhogj... However, under Cookies on Computer, there is still a www.ccleaner.com cookie.
  2. I very much appreciate this thread. With the newest version of CCleaner, I have the same issues as noted above: 1. the Edge and Chrome cookies (albeit empty) that show under Cleaning Complete as noted by SumGuy. 2. the weird "extension://nkeimhog..." that shows under Options > cookies on computer. In addition, 3. under Options > cookies on computer, there's a new www.ccleaner.com cookie that appears to delete, but returns immediately. These are all different results from previous versions of CCleaner. Also, thank you to Imacri for excellent directions on how to find the "extension://nkeimhog..." extension on Edge. I was worried about that thing because I'd never seen it before and wondered if my PC had keylogging malware.
  3. CCleaner v5.44.6575 is unstable for me, too. --First, it wouldn't install, instead showing a message box that stated "CCleaner has stopped working." --Then, when I tried again, it did install, but would not run and again showed the same box message. --Then, I was able to change the Cleaner Results option to a file list (from summary) and did get one clean run. --Last, I tried to run it again, got the message box, and the program closed. --I went back to v5.43 which works if I change the Cleaner Results to file list. 4. Today I ran into this problem: When selecting Run Cleaner > Continue, the app automatically closed without running the cleaner. Other functions of the Cleaner worked; however, not that one. I tried the solution posted above on May 22 by siliconman01, i.e., I changed the Cleaner Results option to a file list (from summary). That worked. Thanks siliconman01.
