  1. I just wanted to report that CCleaner 5.44 now somehow works with Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2019 v19.0.0.1088(a). A few days ago it still crashed right at the start. So maybe Kaspersky released an update that fixed this?

  3. The problem is that CCleaner 5.44 crashes immediately so the setting can't be set. I also tried to set the setting in CCleaner 5.43 and then use the .ini file with CCleaner 5.44, but it has no effect. This workaround also had no effect for me before with CCleaner 5.42, the only thing that helped was reinstalling Kaspersky. CCleaner 5.44 introduced pop-up ads, I wonder if this has anything to do with it.
  4. I think I got the same problem when I updated the portable version from 5.43 to 5.44 (I already reported it here). It starts, the GUI is shown for a second and then it just "disappears". In the Windows event log it can be seen that CCleaner crashed (it also shows ntdll.dll as the Fault Module Name there). I use Windows 10 x64 1803 (Build 17143.137) and Kaspersky 19.0.01088(a). Version 5.44 is therefore completely unusable for me. In a virtual machine with Windows 10 x32 1803 and Avast Free it works without a problem (version 5.42 also worked there).

I also had the original problem that CCleaner 5.42 crashed when I wanted to start the cleaning. This was solved (at least for me) by removing and reinstalling Kaspersky 18/19. CCleaner 5.43 also worked (without reinstalling Kaspersky). But CCCleaner 5.44 just crashes at the start and is therefore unusable for me. 6. You are right, I verified it and had the same problem. This problem is known since 2016 and occurs on Windows 10 1607 and newer. Back then someone on the Kaspersky forums said that the developers know about it and some confirmed in December 2016 that it seems to be fixed, but it still seems to be a problem with the latest version from March 2018. I tried CCleaner 5.42 on another PC with Windows 10 1803 and Kaspersky 2018 with patch h today and there the crash didn't occur. This is a very strange problem.
  7. I use it with 1803 (I updated from 1709 which had the same problem), but as I wrote it only worked when I completely removed Kaspersky and reinstalled it.
  8. I completely removed Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2018 today (I also used "kavremover") and reinstalled it. Now CCleaner 5.42 doesn't crash anymore. Very strange as I tried the new version of CCleaner again before I removed Kaspersky (with the latest signatures) which gave me the same crash.
  9. I just installed Windows 10 April 2018 Update and updated Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2018 to the newest signatures, but CCleaner 5.42 still crashes. The only difference is that there is no "CCleaner stopped working" message anymore; CCleaner just closes. CCleaner 5.41 still works without a problem.
  10. No, not yet, but someone on the Kaspersky forums did. I saw that you also replied there.
  11. I have exactly the same problem here with Windows 10 1709 Build 16299.402 x64 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 18.0.0.405(g). If I close Kaspersky completely, CCleaner works; whitelisting CCleaner in Kaspersky has no effect. In a virtual machine with Windows 10 x86 and Avast I don't have this problem.
  12. I created a dump file using procdump: https://app.box.com/s/scqvm6x0kpgj40lie7s1g9f6r0t6inf0 The error code is 0xC0000374. My OS is Windows 10 1709 Build 16299.402 x64 and I use Kaspersky Anti-Virus 18.0.0.405(g). If I close Kaspersky completely, CCleaner works; whitelisting CCleaner in Kaspersky has no effect.
