  1. Hello. Sorry. Just posted on another thread (thought it was this one) and only then saw your post above. Point noted and will do so in future. But I'm still of the opinion that all of this has to do with whatever changed in March 2018 regarding the way in which the summaries / results screens are now displayed (the fact that my problem is Safe Mode is neither here nor there now it would seem). Anyway. I shall not post about this again. Will wait and see what happens. Regards, Dale.
  2. Oops (for those who saw my original post here)!!! Sorry. I thought my post had been deleted (so I lost it). Wrong thread. My bad. Sorry. Anyways: My issue, as reported on two other threads, is that CCleaner will not run in Safe Mode. My reason for posting here is that the symptoms as described here are identical save for the fact that I'm not running Kapersky (and in one instance I'm not running any antivirus software at all). These issues started in March 2018 at exactly the same time as there was a change made in the way that the summaries / results screens are displayed. Unfortunately: my initial reporting of this went unnoticed so far as I can tell. Point is: resolve this and I'll guarantee that the other issues mentioned above will also be sorted (or visa versa). And for what it's worth: in this very last release I cannot, in Safe Mode, even try to change the options for the way in which the summaries / results pages are displayed. The moment I go into that screen and try to change an option or scroll the screen up or down using the up or down arrow keys to the right of the screen: the screen seems to go into some type of looop i.e. it shimmers and shakes and the only way to get out of CCleaner then is via the Task Manager. I don't know if these latest versions are addressing the display adapter or driver differently from before or what??? Maybe there's a clue. Regards, Dale.
  3. Hi all. I reported this earlier this year and have never ever received a response. The latest versions of CCleaner (those released after around the beginning of March this year) will not run in Windows Safe Mode (Windows 7 Pro) i.e. it crashes (simply pauses at the end of the scan and then exits without doing anything). I've tried many times with each new version and still the same thing and keep having to revert to an older version (released before March this year). It would appear it's crashing when trying to display the summary / statistics / report page before actually allowing you to elect to proceed with the changes. I consider this a bit of a serious issue for the simple reason that CCleaner does not (cannot) remove certain files that are in use when not in Safe Mode (not to mention the fact that I've been using CCleaner for many many years in Safe Mode and there's never been an issue). I have tried selecting different reporting formats as mentioned above but no difference at all. Here's a link to my original post: Regards, Dale.
  4. Hi. For years I've used CCleaner in Safe Mode. The latest version "bombs" (exits the program) just before it displays the summary / statistics for the "Windows" and "Applications" tabs / options. I'm not sure if it's actually cleaned anything at this point. I've a feeling that this has to do with the change in the appearance / functionality of the new summary / statistics screens (and I see that there is a thread about this somewhere else around here) (but of course I could be wrong). Regards, Dale.
