  1. I reverted to 5.43.6520 and am having same issues of not responding to . RUN. Will revert to a older version and review
  2. Same issue , have always used for many yrs always updated CCleaner , Latest ver 5.43 analysis system , then will not respond to RUN . I Do use Malwarebytes Pro and the current ver of Kasperky .Never experienced these issues previously . Even tried to use previous versions of CCleaner as a resort to fix . What the hell !! now these older ver are not performing . This is what you get when a long trusted software designer is taken over or purchased by another Group.???????
  3. Well said Patryk R, The silence from Piriform/Avast is deafening, Where is their integrity and responsibility to their clients/customers. I too am absolutely gobsmacked at this level of non assistance .. Most responsible suppliers/manufacturers /developers would be trying to assist their global base of users ,so as to at least be seen as co-operating. (1) Too much non specific and generalized opinions being released by press and media outlets. (2) Most previous info releases via Piriform has been outdated and or not totally correct . Yes this makes we feel real happy (NOT) .The latest from Avast the now parent company states ,the 2nd payload was delivered , we are still investigating ,and the form of malware is very complex ,initiated with a high degree of sophistication by the perps. This latest update totally refutes all previous media notifications as to the severity and infiltrations of this malware . Further i have instigated every means that i know of available ,with my limited IT knowledge as to checking /cleaning /scanning /registry checking . Is it me or am i totally wrong in my approach, CCleaner has been one of several programs used in my arsenal for the sole purposes in the attaining and or achievement of as much privacy and security as reasonably possible . CCleaner usage assists in both cleaning and deleting of web history and remnants of computer useage ,and now further too, being recently acquired by Avast ,who positions itself as an IT security provider.
