  1. No it was a clean install of the latest (at the time) version of CCleaner. Chrome has NEVER been installed on any of my PC's... I don't like it or use it.
  2. I don't have any idea as to what you're asking me to look for... so here's the file where Chrome is mentioned... it's the winapp file.. ; CCleaner - Application Cleaning file [Global] Revision=2175 NextIDValue=2414 ; ; WARNING - DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE ; If you would like to create custom entries then create a new file ; called winapp2.ini which follows the same format as this one. ; CCleaner will automatically pick up the new file. ; ; Copyright ©2004-2016 Piriform Ltd, All Rights Reserved. ; This file and it's contents may not be copied or distributed ; without the express permission of
  3. Windows was installed via a clean install from a DVD and then updated via Windows Update. I found the entry for Chrome, but I don't understand what I'm looking at so I'm no further forward as to understanding why Chrome is detected when it's not installed.
  4. I've just reinstalled and updated windows 10 (to the latest version) on my PC (I do this on a yearly basis) and for some reason CCleaner insists that Google Chrome is installed on my PC when it's not. Before anyone suggests that I'm installing Chrome by accident - I'm not, I always turn off the install Chrome baggage. I don't know if it's a bug in the installer or the program (CCleaner) itself, but it's rather annoying - especially since I never use Chrome for the plain and simple reason that I don't like it. Can anyone suggest how to remove the Chrome browser entry from CCleaner?
