  1. I am extremely disappointed to see some of the things that are going on with Piriform, and CCleaner. I have used it for many years, but between how slow it has become, and these downright deceptive tactics I am reading about,.....I believe it's time to call it quits. Thankfully I am still running an older version due to the ridiculous splash screen after running a cleaning. Not admirable tactics at all.

I have discovered the same behavior, and have also returned to V5.22 hoping this will be fixed eventually. I am running Windows 7 Pro 64 btw.
  3. Thanks for the link. I uninstalled, and reverted to the previous version and all is well again. I'll try the new version again when it's ready for prime time.
  4. I am a long time CCleaner user, and have never had the need to post here previously. As per the title, I just installed the latest program update last night. I see the devs are aware of the issue with Windows log files already, but there is something else I have noticed. Since updating to v5.23.5808 using the program is much slower. I run it frequently, and it's not usually removing hundreds of MBs from my disk. This version is taking roughly three to four times as long to clean my system with the same options checked. It is also telling me that IE must be closed to clean cookies,....I hav
