Computers - I build my own and repair them in my spare time.
  1. I have the most unusual problem. I've used Speccy for a couple of years now and have never had problems before Windows 10 Build 1607. I installed Speccy around October 13th and after I used it for the first time, my system started randomly freezing every 5 or 10 minutes. The only way I can get rid of the freezing is to do a system restore. Unfortunately Windows 10 System Restore broke my computer and it won't boot. I'm handy with computers and I get paid to fix them so I'm sure I will resolve the System Restore issue, but I don't know what to do about the Speccy issue. I am running the anniversary build 1607 of Windows 10 released on August 2nd. I don't know what speccy does when it initializes, but it impacts my system permanently. When it was running, it would freeze in 5 or 10 minutes. There are no error messages or BSODs or anything. The screen simply freezes and I have to shut down with the power button and reboot to resolve it, but after rebooting the system freezes again in another 5 or 10 minutes. I also have a Samsung SM-951 256GB M.2 Gen 3 X4 card as my boot drive. I don't know if that drive can cause issues. My entire configuration is: Intel I7-6700K 4.00 GHz CPU ASRock Z170 OC Formula Motherboard G. Skills TridentZ Series 16GB DDR4 3200 F4-3200C16D-16GTZ EVGA GeForce GTX 960 Video Card Dell Ultrasharp U2415 24-Inch 1920x1200 ASUS VW-199 20 inch 1440x900 Samsung SM951 - MZHPV256HDGL-00000 256 GB PCIe M.2 2 WDC WD10EFRX-68PJN0 1 TB in RAID 1 Ultra - X4 850 Watt Modular ATX Corsair Obsidian Series Black 550D Mid Tower Corsair Hydro Series H110i GT 280 mm Razer Black Wido Ultimate 2013 Keyboard Logitech M310 Mouse I am not sure whether I can do any troubleshooting in the immediate future, but I wanted to post this as soon as possible in case anyone has heard of this issue before. I've also verified that the same behavior is exhibited by a competitor of yours after the initial use of their software. I've seen this behavior on ASUS Z170 Deluxe and ASRock Z170 OC Formula and I've seen it on Windows 10 Build 1511 and 1607. As soon as I can boot the unit, I'll provide more information.
