I installed the Recuva demo, and it installed CCleaner on my computer, without asking me.
However innocent CCleaner might be, installing other software without permission is a hallmark of malware, and doing so has harmed my faith in Piriform as a company.
Recuva 1.52 and 1.53 both try to read my (empty) 3.5" floppy drive about once every minute during a scan of any hard drive.
To deep-scan a 4G hard drive takes 2 days, and I fear this continual grinding of my 3.5" drive will destroy my drive and keep me awake.
