My laptop is a dell XPS M1330 circa 2009 It runs windows vista home premium sp2 I have run defraggler on this laptop since 2009 and with good success On march 23rd my hard drive began showing many bad blocks, this was a 7200 rpm HItachi 220GB drive. I replaced the HItachi drive with a new SCANDISK SSD PLUS 240GB REinstalled system using a macrium image from 2012 of a clean windows install. Ran all updates and added current apps When I started defraggler it ran fine but it checked upadtes and told me I had 2.12 and the latest was 2.21. I let it installl 2.21. Started 2.21 BSOD tested a few older versions of defraggler and settled on 2.16 which ran ok. I wanted defraggler for defragging free space on my external USB WD My Passport Ultra 500GB where I store Macrium images. I know I do not need to use defrag on the SSD drive. *********************************** Further testing ######## Reinstalled the Hitachi drive installed and tested each version of defraggler from 2.12 to 2.21.
