  1. Hi Baideky, These cookies are often saved as part of the ICS (Intelligent Cookie Scan) which automatically keeps cookies which lots of users like to keep. Piriform gains no financial benefit or otherwise from keeping these specific cookies on your computer. Thanks, Tom
  2. Hey! Sorry that you're having problems. Can you please tell me which version of CCleaner you were using?
  3. Hey, If you can't see this in the search results then can you please look for the blue CCleaner Cloud icon in the system tray? If you right-click this and click Preferences you should be able to get to the desired Window. Once there please go to the Debug tab. If the service is running please click "stop" then click "Start" again when it has stopped. If it wasn't running then please just click "Start". If this doesn't work could you please submit a ticket to us from the help center? One of our agents will be able to take you through further troubleshooting steps.
  4. Hey guys - if you're still having this issue can you please email our support team at support@piriform.com Thanks!

  13. Hey! The Erase Free Space has been removed from MacOS at a system level meaning that this functionality no longer works. We are going to be releasing a new version of CCleaner Mac soon which takes this feature out for Sierra users to prevent further confusion. I'm sorry I couldn't bring you better news!
  14. Hey, thanks for the suggestion, it's been passed onto the relevant team
  15. Hi Vouru, Your purchase has some anomalies on it and your license isn't active as a result. I'll reply to your ticket now, but you weren't receiving Priority Support as a result. Thanks
  16. Hey, Yes, CCleaner Cloud is still developed We're currently working on a lot of behind the scenes work which is why there hasn't been a noticeable update for a while. Don't worry though, there are some updates in the pipeline, we just don't have a set release date yet
  17. Hey there Could you send me some screenshots showing the Defraggler Window when you first open it and then when you've clicked the Analyze/Defrag buttons? Could you also explain what function you're using when you say you "initiate the program"?
  18. Hi! When you remove the restore points, the only part of that restore point that will be removed are the items that are unique to that restore point. This means that if one part of the OS is the same in multiple restore points, it'll only be saved once and all the restore points point to the same place. If you then remove one restore point, it will won't remove any shared information as this will render the other restore points only half functional. This essentially means that you won't make a huge space save unless you removed all the restore points however CCleaner won't allow you to delete your last restore point as a safety feature. The main focus of this tool is a privacy feature so that if you don't wish your computer to be able to be restored to an earlier state then you can prevent this. I hope this helps
  19. Hi Jay, This is MalwareBytes flagging the Windows process. Although this occurs when you're opening CCleaner, it's not actually CCleaner that it's reporting, but a false alert based on the information in the Windows system process. You may find that MalwareBytes are able to assist you with this detection specifically
  20. I'm joining with this! Great idea mta!
  21. Hey there - welcome to the forum. CCleaner needs to have administrator privileges in order to run correctly, however it should inform you of this when you try to run it. It also shouldn't reset your preferences. Could you please contact our support team about this at support@piriform.com as they will be able to assist you further
  22. Hi, I've merged these topics together as this is exactly the same issue that you're reporting.
  23. Hi, the "Internet Explorer - Temporary Internet Files" file is one that is recreated by IE after it is cleaned. This file grows over time and when CCleaner cleans it, it deletes the whole file and then IE recreates it at 5121kb. It will slowly get bigger over time from this point if you don't run CCleaner. All in all, this means CCleaner will always display that much data as cleaned as this is what it is actually cleaning. I hope this helps
  24. Morning everyone. The the latest version of CCleaner will force IE to close to be cleaned regardless of what operating system you're using, because it has to do this to effectively clean both IE 10 and IE 11. You can revert back to and older version however this will not be able to completely clean IE, although the program will give the impression that it has - even if you're running Windows 7. The latest version of CCleaner provides much more in depth cleaning but requires the application to be closed. Both Edge and IE (regardless of the OS that they're installed on) use the same data storage techniques which require them to be closed to be effectively cleaned. This means that even if we had separate versions for Windows 10 and 7, they would be exactly the same.
  25. Hi chrisr78 We don't currently support Insider Preview versions of Windows, only the public release versions. Is there an error code available so that I can pass this over to the development team for them to be aware of?
