I would have voted firefox, vlc player, and then ccleaner. I would have to say these are my three (if i had to name three) most essential and used software items.

alrighty, got that. So I tried using the IE on my computer (never ever use it) and it worked, but firefox (the only browser i use) still doesn't. Any suggestions? And thanks for the reply so quick!

Hey all, question about a problem I am having. Both my computers are running Vista 64 bit Windows and a lot of the time I go to watch a video and it won't play. I've googled a bit and apparently the problem could be that I have a 64 bit system and java/flash ? doesn't support 64 bit video playback? I could be wrong. Anyhoo, is there any software out there that will play back 32 bit java on a 64 bit system? Does this make sense? I just want to be able to watch certain videos and such! Any help would be great! Thanks!

These laws about copying are a farce. I can see making it illegal for those selling and distributing copyright goods, but if have a cd or dvd and want to make several copies (one for each car, one for the gym, one for home, one for the garage, etc....) that should be my perogative. We are pretty liberal in canada so this doesnt affect us yet, but the writing has been on the wall for several years. I would support a levy on all recorded media...oh wait, we already pay a large one that is supposed to offset that cost..............double dipping by the industry if you ask me.

Not to sound dumb, but what exactly is an audio file tagger? What is tagging? What are the benefits?

I love social networking. I'm in my late thirties and have used it to locate and keep in touch with friends all over the country from my youth. As well, I keep in touch with friends and family that i dont get to call every day, and its simply a fun way to interact.

couple of questions i thought id ask the piriform guys and gals. 1- is there a way to lock firefox to restrict access to it? like a quick program or something? 2- how do i keep a website (facebook) from auto filling the password section so that others just have to hit the login button and are in my account? i cant seem to get rid of it! thanks guys these have been driving me nuts!

Yeah I would love to get a new desktop with touch screen and Windows 7, but my wife has put the brakes on me purchasing any electronics for awhile due to my addiction. Vista is fine, i wouldnt go back to xp now that i am familiar with it and the bugs are all worked out (as much as they ever get worked out with an operating system). Windows 7 does look interesting though....
