  1. Odd then. Let's blame the Invision software. LOL the emojis have never worked properly for me on here, either from my laptops or my phone. They took ages to load/display. But now they are loading instantly on the phone.
  2. Not sure why? That screenshot is from a Win 10 21H2 laptop (64 bit). I've got a Win 10 22H2 as well, I'll check that when I get home.
  3. Click your username at the top right of the page and select 'My attachments'. Tick the box(es) to the right of the attachments that you want to delete and a delete button will pop up.
  4. Which part(s) of CCleaner are you using? Custom Clean? Health Check? Registry Cleaner? Did Carbonite Tech tell you just what needs to be 'skipped'? I'm not sure just how Carbonite works, but I do note that it is Cloud Based. So it may be that you just need to set one or more 'Cookies to keep' to prevent you being logged out of it, something more normally done for browsers. Carbonite service should be able to tell you if it is cookies which you need to keep. Or it may be that you need to 'Exclude' some Carbonite files (or possibly a registry entry if you used the Reg Cleaner) from cleaning. Again Carbonite should be able to tell you which files those would be if needed. Or you may need to do both. Either way it's fairly easy to do once you know what the cookies and/or files are. This article tells you how to set 'Cookies to Keep': https://support.piriform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047828672-Select-cookies-to-clean-with-CCleaner-for-Windows#option-2-to-keep-certain-cookies-on-your-pc-0-10 This article tells you how to set up exclusion(s) once you know which files you need to exclude: https://support.piriform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047757492-Choose-files-you-don-t-want-to-clean-with-CCleaner-for-Windows Like I say both are fairly simple, but shout if you need more help. Note that keeping cookies and 'Excluding' or 'Including' things only applies in Custom Clean and not in Health Check. Health Check cannot be customised. (If it could be customised then it would just be another Custom Clean). So once you set up any customisation you should only then use Custom Clean, you can set Custom Clean as the 'CCleaner Home Screen' in Options>Settings.
  5. Could you give us details of your Windows version and your CCleaner version? I don't recognise "clear and save" as being an option in CCleaner for Windows, are you meaning something else?
  6. CCleaner is obviously looking in a different place than the others. Such a date will be recorded in more than one place. It will be in Reflect's own setup/log files, it will be in Windows files for the computer, it will be in Windows files for the user account which it was installed from, it will be in the Windows Registry in more than one place, and so on. So one of those records on your machine is not holding the correct date for some reason - and that one record just happens to be the one that CCleaner is looking at. That record may have no date in it, or the record itself may be missing altogether. But no; I don't know which one it might be that CCleaner looks at. I would suspect though that the problem is something to do with your Macrium being installed on D: rather than on C: I have to ask - Does it really matter? One date being shown wrongly in just one place is not going to affect anything.
  7. The 1970 date is just a 'placeholder date' that Windows and other software will use it it can't find the actual date. That date is used because it is a date from before Windows existed. They could just as easily have used zeros, or a blank, to show the date can't be found. Don't worry about that 1970 date, it isn't important other than showing that the actual date cannot be found. Like Hazelnut I also cannot replicate your issue. My installed CCleaner and CCleaner Portable both show the correct installation date for my Macrium Reflect. Which does indicate that there is something different about your own installation of Macrium, and that where CCleaner is expecting to find the date it isn't finding one there. So we need to work out what is different about your Macrium Reflect. Is your Macrium installed at the standard location, C:\Program Files\Macrium\, or is it installed somewhere else?
  8. A bit more checking finds that this monitoring information is there by design, it's a new feature with v2.7.166. It is seperate from the main CCleaner, hence that blue button to open CCleaner itself. Not being a Mac user I don't normally check the CCleaner for Mac update announcements so hadn't seen it announced. In Windows there's a seperate Piriform app altogether for reporting on the System - Speccy. (I do now vaguely remember some previous 'for the future' discussion about it maybe being possible to add something similar for Mac, it might have been in the staff sub-forum). https://www.ccleaner.com/knowledge/ccleaner-mac-v2-7-166 Presumably you still have a CCleaner icon on your desktop or the Dock bar which lauches the usual CCleaner User Interface? That blue button should also launch the usual UI. I would email the support team: support@ccleaner.com and report that the new system monitoring feature in CCleaner for Mac is showing the wrong CPU temperature for you. However I should warn you that System Monotoring tools showing wrong temperatures is fairly common, so you may just have to live with it. You only have to look on the Speccy forum here to see many examples, and any other system monitor app I've looked at has the same kinds and numbers of reports. Mostly they work fine for most users, but on some machines the temperature sensors in the chips themselves appear to give out the wrong readings. (That's also one reason for reports of machines overheating, or of cooling fans constantly running, that you see on technical help fora - the chips built-in sensor is saying its cooler or hotter than it actually is).
  9. My apologies, that spelling is still in common usage internationally. It does take time for such name changes to percolate through internationally, like Bombay changing to Mumbai.
  10. It is still happening with v6.09. It happens once a day and always at the same time each day.* I guess that it isn't high on the list to be fixed. *I've found that you can change the trigger time in Task Scheduler so that the task will run at a time less likely to annoy you. (But I've deliberately set it to a time when I will see it, so that I can see that it's still happening).
  11. I'm not sure if it's the cause of your issue, but I do know that Winapp2.ini is in the process of a makeover/update. There have been a few glitches reported with the changes.
  12. Are you using Health Check on CCleaner Professional? Is it saying that there are version updates for those 2 softwares? That is does the 'Security' box say that there are apps to update? CCleaner v6.09 added another 50 software titles that it can now check and update. If it is that, and it is trying to update both those softwares everytime you run Health Check, then click on that 'Security' box and tell us what versions it is saying you have and what is says the Latest version is. The Software Updater can occasionally get in a twist about version numbers that are slightly different to what it is expecting to see.
  13. Although I can't be sure I would suspect it's something in those extended entries that you have. Is that Winapp2.ini? or is it some other 3rd party extension?
  14. CCleaner Professional does not recover files. Do you mean that you have bought the Pro-Plus bundle - which includes CCleaner, Recuva, and Speccy? Although the Pro+ licence key is valid for all the listed products you can choose which ones you want to use and download them seperately, then enter the key in each. https://support.piriform.com/hc/en-us/articles/204043924-What-is-CCleaner-Professional-Plus-#what-is-ccleaner-professional-plus--0-0 I assume you have already downloaded/installed CCleaner itself. You can download the installers for Recuva and Speccy here: https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva/builds https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy/builds They will install as the Free versions and then you can enter your Pro+ key to register them.
  15. As from your IP you appear to be in Kiev then I would suspect that the current conflict, and resulting sanctions on Russia, may have something to do with any issues that you are seeing. Try disconecting from the internet before opening CCleaner. Other than that I suggest that you send an email to the Support team letting them know you are being blocked from running CCleaner: support@ccleaner.com
  16. I've flagged this up to the staff. I'd guess it might be the name - sounds more like a "know yourself" motivation site than septic tanks. And septic is only a 'c' short of being dubious.
  17. Sorry my first reply was a bit terse, I was posting from my phone and couldn't go into more detail. I'll agree that most of the regulars here, including myself, and not that familiar with Mac or iMac. (Please excuse our ignorance). I had noticed that it was a Mac, because that screenshot appears to be from an app named "IMAC-2023 System Monitor". The second screenshot makes things a bit clearer, and may explain what you are seeing. It looks that when you press the CCleaner icon it is being redirected to that System Monitor app, from where you can then open CCleaner from that big blue button. AFAIK even on Mac CCleaner has no tools to report temperatures or fan speeds, it's that System Monitor that is reporting those. The puzzling thing is that I cannot find any other mention of such a redirect happening. Nor can I find any monitoring app for Mac that looks like your screenshot. And the only thing I can find by searching the app name displayed is this thread itself. This is what would be expected on a Mac: https://www.macupdate.com/reviews/ccleaner What type of device is this? Desktop, laptop, tablet, phone? Your screenshots look phone-like - but those Segate drives say desktop or possibly laptop. PS. This thread will be moved to the CCleaner for Mac forum
  18. However it is expected that you know that if you use a cleaning app it is going to remove temporary files,. After all that is the whole point of running a cleaning app. The Recycle Bin is simply temporary files, ie. soft-deleted (no longer wanted) files waiting to be fully deleted. Windows itself can/will purge items from the Bin after they have been there for 30 days - without warning. The Recycle Bin is not a safe place to 'store' things that you might want later. So if you do want the files, or might want them in future, then don't delete them to the Bin. (Or back them up somewhere before deleting them to the bin). CCleaner does give warnings about deletions - unless you have turned the warnings off, or told it not to show them again. And most people do turn the warnings off, and/or often forget that they've previously ticked "Do not show me this message again" when one popped up. It would be tedious if each time you run a clean you get a warning for each individual file, of category/section of files, that will be deleted. Which is why most people turn the warnings off and tick "Do not show me this message again".
  19. This thread is from almost 16 years ago. Please check the date of the last post before replying to a thread.
  20. Why would you even do that? The recycle bin is for things you have deleted, if you deliberately want to keep something then you don't delete it. If you are not sure if you want to keep it or not then you put it somewhere else until you are sure, you don't delete it to the bin.
  21. You have a couple of options: If you want to reset all of your settings everywhere in CCleaner then go to Options>Advanced and at the bottom of the list you'll see 'Restore Default Settings'. If you just want to reset the ticks/unticks in Custom Clean then right-click on the Windows or Applications tabs in Custom Clean. That gives you the option to 'Restore Default State' for the ticks: See also: https://support.piriform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045474751-How-do-I-restore-CCleaner-s-default-settings-
  22. Whilst your original post does raise a valid point; your later responses are unwarranted. We are aware that our Australian members can have a relaxed attitude to language use, and we are generally tolerant of that. But just because you yourself regard something as 'light hearted' does not mean that it will not offend others, especially those in other countries or cultures. A re-reading of the Bene Dictum Benedictum! may be useful here, followed by a reading of section 4 of the CCleaner forum Guidelines which can be found on the menu bar. Both say the same basic thing - you are welcome, but be careful not to offend others or you may no longer be welcome. Back to your original post: The installers available on the official download pages are always the latest version, so there is no need to guard against downloading an older version by mistake. At worst you might just reinstall the current version over the current version. (Unless you are downloading from a non-official site, and what any such site shows on their pages is not in Piriforms' control) In addition the name of each of the main Piriform product installers clearly shows the version number it will install before you download it or use it to install the product. So even a previously downloaded installer will show you which version it will install. The current versions are: ccsetup609.exe, dfsetup222.exe, rcsetup153.exe, spsetup132.exe - and you can see that both before and after you download/save one of them. Edge download: My Firefox asks me before downloading: Admittedly at this time that is not the case for the CCleaner Browser, or Kamo installers which don't show the version numbers in the installer name but will always give you the latest version. Kamo does show the major version number on the webpage, currently Kamo 4
  23. Just for information in case it helps anyone. I don't have a Mac but I've had a play and downloaded the Recuva installer from the builds page onto my Android phone. I then transferred it from the phone to this laptop. I double clicked the transferred installer and Recuva installed sucessfully on the laptop. So that shows that it can be downloaded to a different OS, and then moved to a Windows machine to install there.
  24. If you only have a Mac available then yes. I'm not entirely sure but it may be that the usual download page doesn't play well with Mac because Recuva is only available for Windows. Downloading it directly from the builds page should bypass any such issue. Just to add that download will install on a Windows machine that is not connected to the web, I've just done it to check.
