    License

I think that you are asking why the time on your existing licence has not been added to a new licence? It can take time for that to happen, allow a couple of days for it to be added. Just to be sure - did you use the same email address when updating your licence?
  2. Yes the pagefile.sys is one of the Windows reserved spaces. It's used by Windows to store 'working' data when your RAM is full. There aren't any readable files 'saved' in it, just data that Windows is using and needs to put somewhere because there isn't enough room in the RAM. Once there is space in RAM again then Windows empties the pagefile back into RAM. You can change the size of the pagefile to be a fixed size, but it's best to let Windows look after it and use as much or as litttle as it needs to. Are you OK now, or do you have another question?
  3. Direct link to the licence lookup tool: https://www.ccleaner.com/support/license-lookup It is in the article that Hazelnut linked too.
  4. Interesting. So are you saying that you are attempting to recover deleted files from a C; drive back onto the same C: drive? If so then that isn't a good idea because what you recover may/will be overwriting what ever else there is to be recovered. You should be recovering to a different drive and not saving anything at all to the drive you are trying to recover from. Plus if recovering from a system drive then you should not be using it at all until the recovery is complete, Ideally you should take it out of the computer so that it doesn't boot, and work on it as an external drive on another computer. A side question here then is why/what you are trying to recover? But back to your 10 GB. Are you running short of space on the drive? How big is the drive, and how much is Used/Free? You say that you are already using Disc Cleanup, but are you using the 'Clean up System Files'? If not then click it and give it a run through, it will take time because it's a deeper clean. Note that it may seem to stick on 'Windows Update Cleanup', that one can take a long time to clean so just let it keep going. (It's also something that CCleaner does not clean, so use Disc Cleanup on it occasionally).
  5. Recuva does not store such scan lists. That's simply because thing can change on the disc making any such list obsolete, Recuva has to scan anew each time to be sure just what is there. Let's see if we can help with your 10 GB. Firstly- How do you know that "10 GB of space are used permenantly"? What is telling you that? What is telling you that there are files in that 10 GB? (Particularly files that you can/should delete). It may be 10 GB that is being reserved for use by Windows. Windows does that. A couple more questions: What Windows version are you using? It the drive a HDD, a SSD/ a Thumb Drive.Flash Drive, a SD card, something else? Is this a system drive or an external drive?
  6. 1. It is Microsoft that has changed how Edge functions. 2. As said above it is you yourself who has turned off the option to Force-close Edge. You turned it off by ticking "Do not show me this message again" And of course you cannot untick it now to turn it back on - because you have told CCleaner not to show it to you. To get that option back now you will have to Restore CCleaner to it's default settings. Make a note of any/all other settings that you have changed because after restoring the default settings you will need change them back to how you want them. Open CCleaner and go to Options>Advanced. Click "Restore Default Settings".
  7. It will stop asking you if you click "Don't show this message again". It will do as you clicked and stop asking you. Uninstall and reinstall CCleaner and it will (should) start asking you again.
  8. Apparently it is also in the Norton 360 Software Updater so that would make sense seeing as CCleaner and Norton are now sisters. (Or at least cousins?). https://community.norton.com/en/comment/8532033#comment-8532033
  9. I believe that it has something to do with the 'improved' Software Updater. (I could be wrong though.)
  10. There has been a problem and a new version, CCleaner v6.18.10838, has just been released to fix it. Open your CCleaner and if it does not update automatically then try clicking on 'Check for Updates' in the bottom right. NOTE - You may still have to re-enter your existing license key and registered name to activate it as Pro.
  11. A new version v6.18.10838 has now been released: https://www.ccleaner.com/knowledge/ccleaner-v6-18-10838
  12. For subscription issues you need to contact support, it is not something that we can deal with on the forum. You can use the form here to raise your request: https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general Or you can email them directly: support@ccleaner.com Please be aware that support are very busy at the moment and although you will get a ticket number when using the form, and an acknowlegement email, it's taking much longer that usual for a person to reply.
  13. The latest we have been told is that they are working on it and now looking to release a fix "towards the end of the week". I guss it's a bigger job than they thought.
  14. Where they saved on your phone itself or in the cloud? (If it's in the cloud then it isn't on the phone for Recuva to find there). Often if your files are saved in the cloud it's just a link to cloud storage that has gone missing, the photos, videos, etc are still there in the cloud. See if part 1 here helps: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/recover-deleted-photos-android/ There are loads of similar articles on the web (people often loose photos, etc, from their phones) search for "recover photos android" for other methods/ideas if the one above doesn't work for you.
  15. Yes you can set CCleaner Pro to clean all user accounts on a machine:
  16. It isn't too unusual that one of the servers cannot be reached from time to time, there could be many reasons why. (Mine are both connecting here, but I may be in a different country and so connecting to a different server or by a different route). I'll take a guess here that the one that isn't connecting for you is 'Security'? That is the Software Updater, so although a nice feature is not essential. Health Check is still cleaning for you, it just can't currently check that some of your installed apps are up to date. If I'm correct and it is 'Security' then try using CCleaners' Tools>Software Updater>Refresh and it will probably say that "It seems like you are offline" - of course you aren't offiline it just can't find the server. It could be that there is an issue at the server itself; it might be undergoing an update, or there may be a problem that needs to be fixed. It could be a break somewhere in the many connections over the internet between your computer and the server. Either of those will usually last anywhere from minutes to a couple of days until someone fixes it. Or it could be that something on your machine, your Antivirus, or Firewall, or VPN, or ..., is blocking your access to that particular server. Again that may go away on its own, say as the AV gets a deffinition update which they usually do at least daily. You are best leaving it a day or two to see if the server itself, or a 'bad' connection, gets sorted out somewhere on the internet. If it doesn't then it's time to look at if the issue might be at your end. If it's still the same in a couple of days then please post back telling us what Windows version you have, what antivirus you use (and if it's not Windows Security/Defender what version the AV is), and if you are using a VPN, Hosts file, or any similiar security software or measures. We'll try our best to help you sort out what the issue is.
  17. As it says you can try again later, it looks like a server issue. Or you can contact support for help: You can use the form here to raise your request: https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general Or you can email them directly: support@ccleaner.com Please be aware that support are very busy at the moment and although you will get a ticket number when using the form, and an acknowlegement email, it's taking much longer that usual for a person to reply.
  18. @BluGenes Ah I see, thanks for pointing that out. I can confirm that regardless of what it says on the page it is still downloading a v6.18 installer. it looks like someone has only done half a job. I will flag it up to the staff.
  19. I'm not sure just which you are asking, multiple user accounts on one computer? (ie. multiple people can login sat at that machine). or remote logins on a server? (people sat at their own machines remotely logging into a server). CCleaner Pro has the option of letting you select which user accounts on a computer to clean, the Current user, All users, or Selected users. In CCleaner Pro go to Options>Users and select which users you want to be cleaned. (You can see it in CCleaner Free but it's fixed on Current user). However if you are talking about users logging into a server remotely from their own computers, then those are 'network endpoints', and to clean those you would need CCleaner Business edition or CCleaner Cloud. https://www.ccleaner.com/business
  20. On the PC have you changed your browser or browser settings? What browser(s) are you using? If you have the browser set to clean itsef on closing, or if you are using 'Private Browsing, then there will be no (or very few) 'trackers' to find/remove. Or it's possible that you may have added a browser extension that is preventing them from being saved, or removing them when you leave a website. eg settings similar to this in Firefox will leave very few 'trackers' on your computer for Health Check to find/remove: I use similar settings to that, and some other privacy extensions, in my Firefox browser which mean that Health Check never finds more than just a couple of 'trackers' on my laptop. Alternatively, if you have used 'Manage Websites' in Health check then you may have (inadvertently?) told it not to delete any cookies for websites that you visit a lot, or websites that are in your bookmarks, and so it won't remove them as 'trackers'.
  21. No that is not an error, v6.18 has been withdrawn from release until the issue with it can be fixed. So so at this time - v6.17 is the current official release.
  22. It is a bug and they are working to fix it, please see here for more details and how to roll back to v6.17 if you want to:
  23. @BluGenes Thanks for confirming that the issue can come back following a restart/reboot and asks you to activate again. CCleaner v6.18 has now been withdrawn from release pending a fix. If you want to then you can roll-back to v6.17. See here for more details and how to roll-back to v6.17:
