Tonight it took 4 minutes to run! I run it every night will this damage my computer? What are other people doing using the previous version? If I untick internet history from ccleaner would it scan faster? All the time seems to be spent on clearing internet history. If I want to use the previous version how do I get it?

Just for the record then it just took 115 seconds for the cleaner to work. Each day it seems to get longer. Just last week my system cleaned in 3 seconds all week. What a difference in time! Please update this version as soon as possible.

How long until they fix this version? I guess I mean a new version.

If I purchase the pro version will it make a difference? If not what is the work around? Tonight my scan took 2 minutes. Every night it takes longer with the new version.

I have been using cleaner for many years now and I never had a scan take 45 seconds! I have windows 8.1 and internet explorer 11. My scans used to take a little over 3 seconds. Today I first went into I.E. 11 and cleared the cache and then ran cleaner and it took 45 seconds. Most of the time is taken up at the beginning of the scan where it is I.E. 11 cookes and history. That takes 40 seconds to clear I.E. even though I went in I.E. 11 first and cleared the cookies and the history. Why would this scan take so long. IS THIS NORMAL? Thanks

I am using windows 8.1 and I was wondering how long a scan should take? The scan stays on internet explorer history for quite a while and then it moves very quickly. My scans are taking 24 seconds. Is this normal? Should I clear cache in internet explorer first? Is there something that I could do to make it scan faster? Why does it get hung up on internet explorer for so long? I don't even use internet explorer.

Do you know how to tell chrome not to upload your webtracks?

When I am looking at gmail I am signed into gmail and I am using the chrome browser. When I run CCleaner Google Chrome is closed. The last time I ran CCleaner it did not clear any of my browsing history in Google Chrome. Am I doing something wrong? I just installed a new version of CCleaner today. What should I do to clear my browsing history?

I have version 5.19.5633 installed and it will not clear Google Chromes history. I was signed in and I also have the box unchecked for continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed. Is there anything else to do ? thanks

I don't have wipe free space enabled. I do not see anything about multiple wipes. I have version 5.10.5373 and I have not made any personal changes. Whatever was checked when I downloaded this version that's what I went with. I am not talking about the registry cleaner.

I have a windows 8.1 computer and a 64 bit operating system. Will it hurt my computer if I run CCleaner on a daily basis? I have a Dell inspiron 2350 computer with a Western Digital SATA hard drive. When I run CCleaner my computer seems to run faster. Thanks
