Thank you, that's very kind. - Well, it's a VERY long story and I don't want to bore anyone with it now. But if our PC continues freezing all of a sudden, I'll gladly accept your offer.
Our IT-man has reinstalled the computer, added new ports, the harddisk is quite new, too. We worked with different mouses and changed the ADSL-box, cables, etc. etc. - it went even worse at times. It looks like a "conflict" somewhere in the configuration or programmes, so we have been trying out a few things ourselves. Result: no more freezing in my session, but it continued in my husband's, until yesterday.
Last night he uninstalled the Nod32 antivirus (installed by our IT-man) and re-installed our good old Panda instead. Since then even my husband's session seems to run well - so far... I hope it will continue that way!
