  1. Ok, drive wiper didn't help much. With much trepidation I went into the bowels of the machine with 'command prompt', found the $recycle.bin and deleted it' and everything in it. That got me back a little room, but the c drive is still filling up faster than I am adding data. So I deleted a couple of programs (Dell assist and Google Earth). Not my first choice. I read that I pads were having a similar problem, no room on the C drive. I could try a Windows clean install, way past the trepidation stage. If anyone has a better idea... Glen
  2. Hi again, It could be the first time I used the Drive Wiper (with some restraint). I am trying Drive Wiper again. I found the files I needed to delete in a TEMP folder called Pending Renames, but I could not delete them (1.5 gig). These would not delete with Disc Cleanup either. This is a real issue with the new tablets because they come preloaded with almost a full C drive. I have lots of room on my SD card, I limit my apps, and do not have any unnecessary programs. So, we will see. I was down to less than 600 meg and I have set my backup ram at only 1 gig. 600 meg does not cut it.
  3. Hi, The first time I used this it worked great, cleared out nearly 2 gig of trash; this is important because I am using a Dell Venue 8 and space on the C drive is limited. When I run CCleaner now it reports removing about 1.5 gig from the system recycle bin, but it does not! What's Up? Thanks, Glen
