Recuva restored the files, but they disappeared again

Hi Folks, I restored several jpg files with Recuva 2 weeks ago. I recognized today that these files aren't available in the specific folder where I restored them. What is your suggestion? I have win7 on my pc. Thx, Mr.Braun
