  1. Hey all! So, I just installed a brand new SSD with a fresh copy of Windows 8.1 on it and decided to defrag some of my older, bigger mechanical storage hard drives. Everything was going fine until one of my drives refused to let me defrag it past 71%. I mostly use defraggler to defrag certain high-use files. But now it's not working on this drive and none of my files get defragged because it never gets past 71%. At first I thought it was a problem file so I just unchecked it in the list, but now it fails at a different file at the 71% mark. What gives? A friend of mine says this is a sign the hard drive is dying. Which isn't good.
