Because there's no point wasting that power on unnecessary bloat. And there are people who prefer a flat style over all that glossy stuff.
I've yet to meet anyone who likes the flat boring style .

Have a look at windows 8 numbers. the interface is what caused win 8.1 and what drove the start menu back in win 10. win 8 was a flop for microsoft, do not underestimate the power of the consumer base.
Exactly , and that's why there are so many users who stuck to XP and Windows 7 .
Like a previous poster said, none of it really makes sense when all the CPU and GPU's are getting faster , that the interface in programs is getting more basic and ugly. I don't get it at all.

Topic is about how to find older versions of CCleaner, not about suggesting alternatives.

I do not like the new look at all , clunky and way too white . What has happened to aesthetics these days !! Went back to the last 4 version that I had stored in my downloads.
I hate the " Made for Tablets " look when its running on a Windows 7 PC.

It should be in .bat file format (trim.bat), not trim.exe.
Thank you so much nodles , its now working .

WFM from command prompt as well, but you can run it by simply double clicking it. Make sure trim.bat, CCleaner, and winapp2.ini are all in the same folder.

Downloaded Trim.bat and ran it from a command prompt and was told not for 64bit Windows
Got it all from here http://www.winapp2.com/downloads.html
hope some bright fellow can help me or give me a link to a 64bit Trim.bat !!
Thanks .
