I think nukecad answered my question with his "perhaps" statement above, but I want to be sure. I have a number of cookies listed under "Cookies to Keep" and ran a Clean. Now, Health Check indicates that it uses Custom Clean Parameters. The cookies that I want to keep are NOT listed under "Cookies on Computer". This is confusing. Are the cookies that I want to keep, kept? If so, the "Cookies to Keep" are also "on Computer", which I believe is what nukecad was implying.

CCleaner indicates that I have 17 drivers to update. However, a scan from Lenovo on my specific machine indicates my drivers are up to date. I'm willing to rescan and provided documentation if desired, but I am inclined to believe Lenovo. Bear

Sometimes, ALL of my System Restore Points are deleted by CCLEANER. I have plenty of Disk Space. My current procedure is to check for Restore Points after cleaning and then create one if necessary

They are shortcuts for folders either: on the computer on another computer on the local network Microsoft OneDrive Folders Thus, they are not files that would normally get cleaned by CC.

I have a similar problem with CCleaner deleting shortcuts from the desktop. I am going to establish a copy of my desktop shortcuts so that I can restore as necessary after CCleaner completes. Though this is extraneous effort, it is still better than not running CCleaner. Of course, I have no idea if other items are also being deleted. I cannot find a clue among the options. Thanks, Barry

After running CCleaner Free v4.18.4844 (64bit), some of my Desktop shortcuts have vanished. The Desktop Shortcut selection under System within the Windows Tab is not checked. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium/Service Pack 1 and it is current. I have searched the documentation and through the Forum and cannot find this issue.
