  1. Hello Andavari! Please reveal the exact resolution that helped solve the viewing problem. Is it 1080 X 720? Please reveal a more insight. Thanks.
  2. Hello mta! Iam awaiting a piece of advice on 'Chunkier' Screen Resolution? Please suggest what should be the desirable Screen resolution in order to fulfill the aforesaid Objective? Thanks.
  3. Hello Hazelnut! Iam using the Latest version already!....as is evident against the attached reference. To login 123: I did post the query on the same a few days ago & there hasn't arrived a revert yet!? The text on the Uninstaller window cannot be copied & would probably require a suitable OCR App to uncover the same.. Therefore, please help Pool-in Volunteers support for the cause.. :-) Thanks.
  4. Hello mta! Thanks for the above reply. However, I do not intend to use ZOOM as this turns out to be a Compromise in one way or another! On your second option-- 1366X768 (recommended) value has been set at present. Please help suggest on an alternative for this? Isn't there a way to restore certain 'Legacy' features of earlier versions within Windows 10? Things used to be 'that Simple' with as basic requirement as setting the desirable Text-size! Now how to figure out the Optimized values to emulate >> "Very-Large Text size" as used to be prevalent within WinXP? Please suggest further.... Thanks.
  5. Thanks mta! Iam feeling Confident indeed after having received such a reply. :-) I would therefore rather prefer leaving these intact! Sincere thanks for this Brainstorming. :-)
  6. Hello Folks! This "Uninstaller" interface is associated to 'Clover', the Program which claims to add Tab-functionality to the Windows explorer interface! Iam done with it, & wish to Uninstall the same. However, the Foreign-Language interface is proving to be an impediment in this task! Can someone please help decipher the various Options listed out there against the enclosed reference, & guide further in this regard? I would always prefer a 'Total Uninstall' & would not like to retain any of the User-configuration, User-settings..etc. etc. Please suggest.... Thank you.
  7. Hello Folks! Transition from WinXP to newer embellishments driven later versions didn't turn out to a nice experience for Eyes! Things have gone tiny tot & too microscopic! Earlier, Display settings used to host categoric & easily comprehensible options such as---Small, Medium, Large & Very-Large text size! Now, these have been broken down into several exclusive options which are hard to visualize & foresee! Therefore, can someone please guide me on what values to choose for each of the individual fields listed over there in order to replicate the VERY-LARGE Text-size effect/Outcome of WinXP? Iam using Win 10 Home edition at present & unable to figure-out those specific values which can reincarnate the effect of Extra-Large Text size of WinXP within my present OS? Help will be sincerely appreciated. Thanks.
  8. Hello mta! Thanks for the clarification. By the way...which ones would you like to retain & discard the rest? The assertive reply from your end would help me make an informed decision! Thank you.
  9. Hello There! Please refer to the enclosed Pictorial description, & help suggest on the Redundant entries which can be comfortably done away with ! Column Key has 4 categorizations viz. Directory, Drive, File, Folder ! Why are there entries under each of these? & Which ones should I put to rest? Thanks.
  10. Hello There! Please refer to the enclosed Statistics of my D-Link Router, & help suggest if the disproportionately higher "Data Transmission Rate" has anything to do with a tentative presence of any kind of Malware on my machine? Why are we able to observe this Great Contrast for the Data Transmission rates (Sent & Received) across 2 different categories of LAN & Internet? Iam quite diligent with my System scans, & keep my Security Softwares up-to-date! Malwarebytes Anti-Malware(Free edition) & Super Anti-Spyware(Free Edition) are always kept up-to-date, & Iam quite committed towards running a Full-System scan every once in 2 days. Please help decipher the Mystery behind this disproportionately higher Tx. rates for the LAN Traffic category. Iam using Win8--64 Bit edition on a measly 2Mbps of ADSL Internet Connection. Thank you. :-)
  11. Thank you Hazelnut! I had an Idea about the Steps depicted against the posted link, but was wondering that why the same cannot be accomplished through "Action Center", especially when the Opposite can be accomplished!....i.e. Turning ON Virus & Spyware Protection.
  12. So Mta...That affirms the point that Most of these entries are of No Use to a Normal Web surfer. Enough of Sharing takes place through "Facebook" & "Twitter"; & similarly, My ISP is there to throttle down the Bandwidth limits after a certain allocation.....Then Why CHOKE my own neck by enabling "QoS Packet Scheduler"!? :-) Is there any explicit component out there on which "Windows Updates" functioning depends on? I would be Happy to follow your suggestion to simply leave enabled the 1) & the last- 8)!
  13. Hello Mta! The Green Tick is a symbolic of a "Default Connection" , & that status were automatically assigned to this Connection by Win 8 itself as it were the first to set up before the rest. The entry of "Wireless Adapter" got removed itself when I installed the "Qualcomm Wireless Driver" from the list of Add/Remove Programs using CCleaner. WAN Miniport could be an indicative of using my Default Internet Connection through the "Bridge" Mode. Iam not using setting of PPPoE/PPPoA within the Router's Interface. In my experience of "Bloatware" that comes as Pre-Installed with a Newly bought Machine or huddle in a recently formatted machine, it literary makes no impact even if you remove Software entries associated to the installed Processor, Network Card..etc. etc. These are simply "Software Applications" masquerading as "Device Drivers"! Removal of these do not appear to make any sort of Impact thus far, but will do a great deal to only make your Machine "Lean n Mean"! What's yours take on the Subject?
  14. Hello Folks! I wish to make a transition within Win 8 from the inbuilt Security of "Windows Defender" to much sought after- German Product--"Avira Antivir" (Free Edition). Please suggest on how to REMOVE the Windows Defender as Add/Remove Programs do not list its entry. Iam aware that using "Action Centre", I can Disable "Messages & Notifications" regarding Alerts, but is unable to figure out that how can we Turn OFF/ Permanently Disable its Protection (like Real-Time Monitoring etc.) A Simultaneous protection from 2 Anti-Malware Products will cause my System to Bloat, & make it unusable in practical sense! Help make the Way Clear for Avira's Antivir. Preferably, suggest me on how to REMOVE WD once & for all! Thanks.
  15. I were expecting the Volunteers out there on this Forum to be BOLD in their approach, & will never wary to try & suggest something New! :-) Atleast do me a favor...Please Summarize the functioning of each of the listed Components. I remember that till Windows XP, the "Ethernet Properties" didn't use to be that Cluttered & Crowded! How come a transition to Windows 8 sneaked in the entry of LLDP & Link-Layer? Sometimes I feel, Windows will continue to be designed in a way that end experience will always yearn for adding "More Resources" for the sake of an Optimized & a Fluid Performance! Something like...1GB of RAM! O not sufficient...Make it 2GB...System still looks slow...Never bother..!..Make it 4GB instead..& on..& on..!! :-) I read in the TWEAK post that an access to gpedit.msc reveals that 20% of Bandwidth remains reserved for Windows Updates. In my case, it can be easily manoeuvred by simply "disabling" QoS Packet Scheduler ! Shouldn't I...or anybody else for that matter, still not GO for it? :-) Please Suggest.
  16. Hello There! My "Networking" Tab within "Ethernet Properties" shows up a lot no. of Components & Protocols being enabled. In general, do we really require all of these to be enabled at the first place for a Daily Web Surfing Experience? Here goes the List of the "Enabled" Items:: 1) Client for Microsoft Networks. 2) QoS Packet Scheduler. 3) File & Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks. 4) Microsoft LLDP Protocol Driver. 5) Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver. 6) Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder. 7) Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) 8) Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4). :::: I know this is required. Secondly, I would be keen to know which of the above Components can be Safely disabled, or we can be done away with? I read somewhere in a Tweak Post, that QoS can be Disabled to experience the Performance gains for the Internet. Similarly, IPv6 is not that common still!..Therefore, what's the point of leaving it as Enabled? Similarly, will there be a repercussion if I decide to Disable entries from Nos. (1) to (7)? Please Suggest! direct download of pdf removed by moderator
  17. The List of Network Connections available on my PC goes attached to this Post. Please suggest if I need to look for the requirement somewhere else?
  18. That's What I wish to Convey...that I have No Idea where are these popping up from? I have already mentioned that my Wi-Fi Connection remains Disabled from day one! No, None of the encircled Item belongs to me, & neither does any of these exist on my Network!? Is this a case of active snooping? Is the "Big Brother" watching over me!? :-) Secondly, can this be expected from a Newly Formatted Machine?
  19. No Doubt, since a Couple of Previous Versions, CCleaner do appear to Consume a considerable amount of time in accomplishing its Cleaning Process. I have only default options Checked in the left hand panel. Only recently, I have been able to observe only a Marginal Decrease in the Cleaning times as I formatted by Machine to Factory Defaults. Earlier, it were portraying more of getting STUCK for a Brief Interval, & then heading on to complete 100% of Cleaning process. I would like to share an another observation. Cleaning amounts to a Data in the range of >100MB whenever IE is used in place of the Contemporary Browsers. The Use of Firefox & Chrome expends a lot less of dispensable Data when Ccleaner is Run. Ads are Blocked against each of these.
  20. Hello Members! This is the very first time I got an Opportunity to scour through the "View Devices & Printers" option within Control Panel on my Win 8 machine. Iam stunned to observe some whole New Devices showing out of some unrecognized source within that Window. Please go through the attached Screenshot, & help decipher the "Mystery" behind the encircled Devices. PS::: >>Have only recently formatted my Machine through HP Recovery Disk stored on a Brand New Pen Drive. I cannot shun saying Thanks to Derek once again whose diction made the process look so simple & Hassle-free. >>Wi-Fi Option is DISABLED from the Day one. A Prompt Help will allay the Fears of using perhaps a Compromised PC. Thanks.
  21. I remember, even during the times of Analog Signal, our Sony CRT's Picture rendering used to quite a Crisp & Crystal Clear! With the advent the Digital Signal it only went to attain the status of "Perfect"! Nowadays, regardless of whatever these mention on the Front Panel, The Final Video & Audio Output off these Modern-day 'Size Zero' Screens, appears very much to be Lull n Dull in Comparison! I find this situation very similar to the one, that involves People calling Light of Incandescent Bulbs to be far superior, warmer in comparison to the prevalent Energy-Efficient Solutions such as CFLs & LEDs! I mean....the performance of a "Standard Definition" Category shouldn't be that Bad as has been made to connote with by the Television & Broadcasting Industry! Did they want to up the ante for the sake of Higher Profits?
  22. My shared experience is not based on the performance of a single/one-off LCD or LED Screen, but on the basis of a Collective experience I had with 3 Differently Branded Screens of make Samsung, Panasonic LCDs & a Sony LED. Did anyone of you ever notice the "Sharpness" Slider making any sort of impact on the Image Quality? On the contrary, CRT Monitors were too responsive to even slight to major maneuvers of Sharpness Setting! I literally mean that the 'so called' Standard Definition appeared too Good during the Golden days of CRT, & the 'planned' Handicap of SD only started appearing after the transition to these Modern day screens. As far as Volume parameter is concerned, it has to be upped within a range of 80-90 to make it Audible in a fair manner. Nevertheless, Are there any end user Checks to ensure whether the Installed DISH have really been 'Calibrated' to receive only the OPTIMUM Signal Quality? What should be the 'Ideal' settings/values/ratio in context to Signal Strength & Signal Levels for a DTH Subscriber to avoid the impact of Picture Pixelation, Blurriness, Smudged or Smeared Picture Quality? I would like you to also ponder over whether these Branded Companies follow a 'Different Standards' of Product Quality across varying regions of the World? PS:: HD Content of National Geographic, NG Wild, History TV18 carry a transmission only in the English Language. For a complete immersive Experience; World makes more sense to you, when it speaks your Language :-) Thus, this dissuasion from HD! My Dear Friends,Cost Factors need to be considered too by the people residing across the 3rd World Countries! :-)
  23. Hello Folks! Going by the Textbook Information, LCD & LEDs Screens are touted to offer a Vivid, Lively & a better Picture Quality! Reality turned out to be in quite a Stark Contrast when we made a transition from our much revered Sony CRT Monitors/TVs to opt for "in-trend" Branded LCD & LED TV Sets a few years ago! Using a Digital Signal Input only of Standard Definition quality, the latter category is able to render only a Pixelated, Fuzzy & Smudged Picture Quality when looked upon from a close Distance. Secondly, the "Sharpness" Slider appears to make a NO IMPACT on the Picture Output with Impunity! Sound Output almost always carry an indispensable requirement to render the Audio Output throught attached External Speakers only, as the Inbuilt TV Speakers are too meek to produce the desirable Audible levels! Till this date we do really repent on our decisions to do away with impecabble Quality standards of CRT in terms of both Audio & Video in favor of Hype built around Modern day screens! If I were ask to give a ranking, CRT in my opinion holds +10, & this 'Marketing Hype' based Modern-day screens will be able to fetch only a Sub zero standards! Do any of you share the same Experience as well? Would be keen to hear your Thoughts! Thanks.
  24. Thank you Brother! "Make a Free Test Call" were of great Help! Thank you very much for explaining the nitty-gritty of Audio settings too..! But still, I do wonder that why does the Help Doc. suggests to bring the slider of Mic. Boost to 0 db!? Check out the following link:: (Expand the arrow alongside- Make sure your Computer is using the Correct Microphone) https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10330/how-do-i-adjust-the-sound-settings-on-my-computer-and-in-skype-for-windows-7
  25. Hello There! Iam new to Skype, & have just started using it since yesterday only! Skype help documentation recommends to slide the "Microphone Boost" to 0db!? Shouldn't it be Opposite instead? Mic. Volume is set to 100, & then what relevance does Mic. Boost fulfill? Shouldn't it be Maximum too? The Person on the other side moaned about a feeble voice from my end, & thus referred to the Skype Help Documentation. By the way, my March Purchase of HP 18-1106in 18.5" All-in-One still has a Plastic film coating over the Speakers:-) I wonder... where does its Mic. hides at? On the contrary, the other Individual's Voice were loud & Crystal clear! while using Apple's I-Pad! Help me somehow compete with him by recommending Optimum standards, applicable in context to Windows 8 Platform:-) Thank you.
