  1. No problem, mta. I had a feeling that was the case. I Googled this before coming here and didn't see a single hit where someone wanted them cleared.
  2. This is what I assumed. I want recent docs and places cleared, which is why I think I need to have both Office 2010 and Recent Documents ticked. I only noticed that this weren't being cleared in the last version or two and when I checked an hour ago Office was unticked, which is why I think these weren't being cleared. Thanks for clarifying.
  3. Thanks, mta. Office 2010 was unticked, but Recent Documents was (I ticked it). Just to be sure I understand, I should untick Recent Documents if I want CCleaner to clear the recent documents? I thought the ticked entries would be cleared.
  4. I've been a CCleaner Free user for many years and have always liked that it cleared recent documents and places from Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel). Apparently it is no longer doing this. Is there a way to set to clear? (I have "Recent Documents" checked under Windows Explorer and this has no effect.)
  5. It now shuts down following the procedure I described. Thanks for fixing this!
  6. With earlier versions I always left "Shutdown after clean" selected in the advance options then right clicked the Recycle Biin icon on the desktop and selected "Shutdown after clean." It consistently shut down. I will install v4.13 and try it and report back.
  7. Based on my experience, the last version in which this worked was v4.9.4471. I tried later versions and none of them worked in this regard, which is why I uninstalled and reinstalled v4.9 on all four of my machines. I hanging fire on new versions till it's fixed.
  8. Great--thank you! I downloaded the new version this morning but did not consult the version history. Will check it out.
  9. I'm wondering whether there is any news as to when this might be fixed.
  10. So do I. I was baffled when this feature went away, which I only discovered when machines were still on in the morning (because the option no longer worked).
  11. I apologize if it came off as harsh, but that wasn't my intention at all. The reality is that I can't risk having users run command line prompts, which is why I will wait for this bug to be fixed before updating to versions after v. 4.09
  12. This is a problem if there are multiple users who cannot and should not be using command line prompts. My users (across four machines) can use the recycle bin option to clean then shut down, but there is no way I want them messing with command lines. This needs to be fixed. I won't move anyone beyond v 4.09 till it is.
  13. No command line: I have always just run it by right clicking the recycle bin and selecting "Shutdown after clean." It works in v4.09 (and all previous versions) fine
  14. I run CCeaner on four systems, all Win7 Pro 64 bit. In all four cases when I updated to any version after v4.09 the "Shutdown after clean" option does not shut down the machine. The program runs correctly and closes, but the machine does not shut down. In all four cases I restored to v4.09 and it then worked fine. Is this a known bug? dg
