  1. I have lately opted to run Ccleaner using my keyboard, rather than mouse input, because it is faster. However I get diferent files cleaned and files sizes when I do so. This makes me question whether complete "cleaning" of my C-drive has taken place. Please explain this discrepancy between mouse input and keyboard input. Can I really trust that Ccleaner has done its job? I'm using Windows 8.1. To use keyboard input I first select the Windows key on my keyboard, then I type in Ccleaner, which puts the focus on the Ccleaner app. When I do a return Ccleaner opens and I type alt-R which puts the focus on the opening dialogue box. A return causes Ccleaner to run. Attached are *.jpg files showing the differing amounts of files "cleaned". After the first run they should be the same. Thus my question as to whether Ccleaner has malfunctioned, indeed whether it has ever fully cleaned the C-drive when using mouse input.
  2. I've found no way to remove this image. I tried uploading what appears, and could't attach a screen shot showing the problem because the forum interface won't allow me. Thanks for any help with this.
  3. I haven't found any other reports on these forums. Does anyone know what is causing this? I also can't upload an image showing what appears on all login screens.
  4. This is just a suggestion since some time ago I experienced a similar problem that seemed to either be OS related or application related. It never occurred to me that it might be hardware related. If your power supply is failing any additional input can cause your system to shut down due to low power output. I guess that’s a safety feature to prevent data corruption. If you think it’s worth looking into there are relatively inexpensive power supply testers available at electronic stores.
  5. I posted this awhile ago, but it hasn't appeared. This is a repost. After multiple times running Ccleaner after exiting Firefox I still get the following results (please see the attached). 5 MB or more never get removed. Is there an option I have neglected activating, or is the current version I just installed not fully removing what it should? This never was the case in the past. I’ve been using the free version. Is this an indication that there is a back door left open by Microsoft to monitor my system?
