I need to know the specs on your router, modem & IP down/ip speed. Are you running XP and do you have xp firewall enabled? Who's your IP and what part of the country are you in? All of these things matter (regional dns, gateway, upstream server) When you have everything connection, you have to power up in sequence. Modem first then *WAIT* a few secs like 30 for the lights to settle down. Then power up the router and last power up your machine.

I have open dns hardcoded into my hardware firewall settings.

What I do is keep it on my server and run it from there.

Hello All! I need to find another site that allows you to donwload device drivers other then Driverguide.com. Over the past year they have become nothing but bloated ads and spyware. And to make matters worse you have to pay to get the good list of drivers and downloads mirros to get them. Is there another good site that anyone knows of? Thanks,

It's not in device mgr? You've rebooted your machine and the drive hasn't returned? Have you tried a re-scan? It's in the device mgr. it'll be a lil icon "scan for hardware changes" try clicking for that. The drive should return and then you'll have to reboot. If it doesn't then look to your bios and see if it's in there.

There should be a EDIT - > OPTIONS, somewhere.

So do you have 2 seperate hard drives, and the second one is gone? Also, do you see it in the device mananger?

Good Luck w/ the test! They change the test often! It's not the same test that I took back in 04/03. 1. Not too difficult, most of it is common sense. Be careful with the graphics (Pictures of a port or something) They suck! People have FAILED because of the poor pics used. 2. You can take the test at a certified Comptia Testing Center. http://www.2test.com There are tech schools that can prepare you for these exams. I went to one for a yr. I really didn't need it to pass the exam. I already possessed the knowledge needed. 3. A+ is the first of many exams that you can get. HOWEVER, these certs DON'T REPLACE a DEGREE! That is the mistake I made. Now, I'm suffering for it. I could make so much more $$$$$$$$$$$ I have so much experience over 15 years but no degree. In my younger life I was too lazy to go to college and get it done. Now, that I'm much older it's been a bear for me to returned to school to even get an Associates Degree! There isn't a day goes by that I don't kick myself for making a really stupid move like that.
