Yes, I am aware that there are no differences in cleaning between the two versions, except that in the pro version all the cleaning can be automated and tailored to each browser and each user. Also, the pro version can work quietly in the background. As Ron Popeil used to say, "Set it and forget it". And, of course, it can be set to update automatically as well. One of the things I like about the pro version is that it gives the user total control over all the various automatic features. You can use them all or just a few and set them differently for each browser and it gives the administrator control over which users can use the program.
It's always been my policy that if I like and use a free program then I think I should support that program either with a donation or buying the program. So I bought two copies od ccleaner pro for my computer and my wife's computer
I'm going to have to investigate to see exactly what that registry entry controls. It doesn't appear to be malware so far as I've been able to determine. I could remove it and then clean it from the registry and see what (if anything) breaks. So far it looks to be related to my HP printer.
Thank you for your help!
