  1. Please try 'iconfix' (in the attachment). The problem you describe has more to do with Windows than with CCleaner, I think. iconfix.zip
  2. Are you sure it is a typo? If 'herunterladen' is considered as a verb, like it is in Dutch, the small 'h' is correct. Look here please:
  3. Ja, die alte Version war mir auch schon aufgefallen.
  4. What I see is "Neue Version! Klicken zum Herunterladen...". So, I don't understand what you are trying to say.
  5. Please, don't exaggerate so much. It's not an improvement, but every day you see that things which are good need to be changed into something else. I think it's just boredom. Change for the sake of change. Just accept it and live on.
  6. Hello mta, The existence of Piriform support, apart from this forum, was unknown to me. Your method of deselecting all the options and after that checking them one by one, that's what I am doing since one or two weeks. The other method is avoiding the use of CCleaner. Hello WickedGirl, About your unchecking efforts: I have the idea that the problem is in the Windows Explorer section, and especially the network passwords are under my suspect, Because I am in no network I had this checked in. But, as I said, I avoid CCleaner in order to forget this annoying problem until I find back my strength. ☺
  7. Because serious help or support cannot be expected anymore on this forum, this topic can be closed. The problem remains unsolved. I am sorry my problem is so totally uninteresting.
  8. Hello Nergal, Could you give me your opinion about my CCleaner settings?
  9. Hello Nergal, Next to the notepad-file that I posted I see "0 downloads". Did you see that I posted it?
  10. "...(set ccleaner to save settings in ini file, copy the contents to a new text file, and return your settings to registry by unchecking the option in ccleaner)..." After reading your sentence a few times I must conclude that I only understand the first part (until the comma). See the attached notebook file. Could you explain the second part of the sentence to me? I only know how to make a registry backup, but that's not what you mean. Although I normally speak good English, English is not my native language. CCleaner settings.txt
  11. Thank you, Nergal, Windows 7 Home Premium. CCleaner Professional v4.19.4867 (64-bit). Indeed, what I mean is the OneDrive "desktop-app". I use it so that all my documents are always synchronized in the cloud, in order to avoid backups. I have no CCleaner enhancing products. Last night I looked at the details for the first time and saw three times the name 'OneDrive'. After I switched 'OneDrive' off under 'Applications' these 3 details disappeared, but it does not solve the problem. I unchecked OneDrive before and also tried to keep Temp-folders younger than 24 hours, The rest of your advice will be tried out soon. The problem is about cleaning, not about the registry. I did not receive a notification of your posting.
  12. Good afternoon, Since long ago I use Microsoft OneDrive and CCleaner. OneDrive has the setting "Start up with Windows" and that is what it always did. Suddenly this changed: every time I start my computer I need to sign in with OneDrive which is totally annoying. I discovered that this is caused by CCleaner. (I tested it by not using CCleaner for a while). I already tried to change the CCleaner settings (untick 'MS OneDrive' and tick 'Remove only Temp-folders older than 24 hours'). Also I placed a OneDrive cookie in the list "Keep". All this does not help. Which settings more could influence the behaviour of Microsoft OneDrive? Thanks for your help!
  13. This problem also came up in my CCleaner, about 1 or 2 months ago. I use SRWare Iron (Chromium based). I posted it in the SRWare Forum but nobody reacted. The last SRWare update was (of course) installed.
  14. It may help to try it a second time. I experienced this in the past.
  15. OK, what I just wanted to say is this: I was seduced to do the "intelligent cookie scan". After that I had a lot of cookies that refused to go away. I searched and searched on the internet and discovered that more people had problems after the "intelligent cookie scan". Because I could not find a solution I posted it on this forum. After 4 days or so, nobody came up with a solution. Accidentally, I had to do a new Windows installation after experimenting with a Windows repair tweaking tool. The new Windows installation had nothing to do with the unremovable cookies. But in my conclusion that was the only way to get rid of the cookies and I will never do the "intelligent cookie scan" again. My memory is is in good order, but life is full of misunderstandings, I know.
  16. Is there a reason to assume that I said this for nothing? A few months ago I posted this cookie-problem on this forum and nobody knew a solution. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=39204&hl=
  17. In my experience the cookies that are kept after the "intelligent cookie scan" can only be removed by a new Windows installation. I will never ever give permission for such a scan anymore.
  18. Hello snovic, You'd better install Yahoo! Mail Watcher 1.6.1, also a Firefox addon. The one you are using I also tried, but signing in is unnecessary if you use Mail Watcher. In my opinion it works much better.
  19. Hello mta: This leads me to a new remark which is not serious: it's too late!
  20. Hello mta: To your reassurance: I definitely was not serious. And: I don't think a 'Windows.old'-folder was created, because that was mentioned in an option that I didn't choose. I think with 'Windows system-repair' that folder is created, but not with complete new installing. So, the cookies are probably in outer space.
  21. Because of some other computer-problems I completely re-installed Windows 7 Home Premium. Now all the stubborn cookies are gone. Where are they?
