What could be the meaning of this paper pin symbol? (I also discovered it doesn't work).

Hello Ben Piriform, Since I was born, my name is Léon and I used this name since I joined this forum. Strange that the account confusion you described, suddenly began. I made a new password again and am very hopeful that the problem is solved now. After 3, 4 or 5 days, I will place a status report in this forum thread. Thank you already for your efforts!

My password was something like 'Hazelnut3274'.

Hello hazelnut, How can there be a connection between the CCleaner program and this forum? You can participate in this forum if CCleaner is not installed at all, I would think. Or do I see this wrong? Should I not remove my account here and create a new one?
-
Hello hazelnut, -Since I installed 5.49: could be. Not sure. -Smart Cleaning/Monitoring is off. -Browser is Waterfox, but I tried Opera as well and there the same problem presents itself.

Hello Ben Piriform, Your question was answered already: Posted Wednesday at 8:06 (see above): „Just letters and numbers. Very simple. Original password existed since years“.
-
Hello Mr. nukecad, Your assumptions are 100% inappropriate. After I leave the forum for maybe 3 hours (of course “Remember me” is switched on), I need to sign in again. After that I want to log in and then my password is said to be “incorrect”. The whole “new password”-procedure starts again. This happened already (about) 12 times in the last few days.

Just letters and numbers. Very simple. Original password existed since years. Now, after every visit: "logged out". Today I had to make a new password again. Extremely annoying.

Hello Nergal, Yes, this forum.
-
Every time I try to sign in, I get the message that my password is incorrect. I make a new password and after the first signing in and out the same message comes again. Five times now. How to solve?

Your "old Firefox shortcut" goes directly to the free version.
-
Hello GagliaudO_17, This will not help you (sorry for that), but I also use Firefox 64-bits and CCleaner (with 'Compact Databases' enabled), but I never saw such a message as you display.
-
Disable 'Compact Databases': no difference. The item that takes such a long time is "Internetcache".

It is "normal" that CCleaner takes ages to clean up Firefox. That's why I always run Privacy Eraser (cleans up Firefox in one minute or less) before starting CCleaner. After that CCleaner is pretty fast in cleaning up Firefox.

Okay, FAT users, feel free to chip in.

Thank you, Mr./Mrs. Augeas, ( ), Three passes I only did because one pass didn't seem to have worked. When I look at the file's header in the advanced mode of Recuva, I don't see zeroes, but the complete names of very old files. As I said this was absolutely not the case in the past. That's why I asked what went wrong, Under 'Size' I see all the Kb's of the past. Or is it the present?
-
Here it concerns a FAT32. When I did this action in the past, everything was empty, so what went wrong? The files are there with the complete amount of Kb's/Mb's, and some of them in "excellent condition". After "3 wipes"?
-
'Wipe MFT' was definitely checked.
-
Is it normal that after cleaning free disk space with CCleaner (even when set on "3 wipes"), all the names of old files are still there (after I run Recuva)? If I remember well, in the past there was nothing left after cleaning free disk space.
-
@Augeas: your explanation sounds as if nothing can be said against it (thank you). But, until now, after wiping free disk space with CCleaner, I always saw a rather empty list of files: only the recently created. So, how can files in free disk space of 2 years ago be shown after cleaning free disk space?
-
On my mp3-player I found some very old files, after cleaning the empty disk space with CCleaner. Recuva says: "Excellent condition". Then, after "safe remove" with Recuva it says "File was removed". But 5 minutes later again: "Excellent condition". Does Recuva (and also CCleaner) only work with NTFS (?), because this state of affairs I cannot understand.

"...I see the small mistake because I am so accurate..." We can shake hands, because I also am very accurate. That's why I discovered that it is useless to expect that other people are also accurate. I think it's interesting that you discovered this typo. But CCleaner is something like a mega-project. Just adore this typo as a work of art.
-
You can also delete the Realtek item. I experienced it does not make any difference.
-
Hello Maurice, You see this small mistake just because CCleaner is so well translated. I know many programmes that have such a totally crazy translation that it becomes impossible to see such small things. Be happy with the excellent translation that you find in CCleaner.

What this person "Jaap Ton" says is (complete) nonsense: OK and Oké are both correct. The (official) Dutch "Taalunie" (language authority) says: "Correct zijn oké en OK.".
