  1. When I try to install CCleaner, I get an error message saying I need a higher version of Windows. I have Windows 7 Home Premium SP1. I have to use the portable version.
  2. I am running Windows 7, latest service packs according to my computer and registry setting, yet when I try to install CCleaner, it tells me that I need to upgrade my operating system to XP or higher. What is CCleaner looking at when it makes this determination? How can I change it? Thanks.
  3. Further info that may help. Portable version of CCleaner runs OK. However, portable version of Defraggler gives me the same error message.
  4. Windows Help reports Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1. No compatibility mode. Please note that CCleaner versions below 4 installed and ran just fine, so I would assume that something changed in the installer. Is there a registry key I should look at?
  5. When I try to install the latest version of CCleaner or Defragler it tells me that I need Windows XP or higher. I am running Windows 7. How do I fix this?
