  1. Yes I could and might do just that . I wanted to make sure that it was actually missing in the latest release of CCleaner though. Did you look in the winapp.ini to see if you have it on your install of CCleaner?
  2. Did anybody else notice it missing in the latest version of CCleaner?
  3. According to the release notes for CCleaner Flock Browser was included in this version v1.31.325 - Fixed IE7 bug in Hotfix Uninstaller cleaning. - Added support for Seamonkey/Mozilla cache cleaning. - Added support for the Flock Browser. - Added more precise error checking to Tools section. - Added version information to the installer. - Tweaks to improve the quality of the icons. - Updated French Translation. - Updated NSIS Installer Engine. - Minor interface tweaks. - Minor optimization fixes. Well I don't see it and I have the newest version of CCleaner. I looked in the winapp.ini and it's not listed in there.
  4. SAS has recently released an update to 3.5. The winapp2.ini for SAS is no longer working. That is because the logs for SAS are now kept in C/Documents and Settings/user name/application data/SAS/logs folder. As you can see with this winapp2.ini entry they used to be kept in the C/programs/ SAS/ Logs. [sUPERAntiSpyware (Logs)] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKLM\Software\SUPERAntiSpyware.com\SUPERAntiSpyware Default=True FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\SUPERAntiSpyware\Logs|*.log
  5. Also I can't seem to edit the spelling in my fist post. I change it and when I complete the edit it just posts the same as before.
  6. I juist looked at the home page of CCleaner and it says there is a new version as?of?January?18.?I?see?no?mention?in?the?forum?about?it?or?any?relase?notes?about?it.?What?is?new?about is changed?in?it?
  7. Looking at this again it seems Opera 9 is not in the default folder. On the machine that CCleaner detects Opera 9 it is in the Opera 9 folder but on the other machine it is in the Opera9 folder. The space between the 9 and Opera is the problem.
  8. Yes both Opera 8.54 and 9.02 are in the default location. On the machine that Opera 9 does not get detected by CCleaner I added the winapp2.ini entry you listed and still it does not detect Opera 9 but does detect 8.54. On my other machine CCleaner detects both Opera 8.54 and 9.02 and I did not need to add the winapp2.ini entry, CCleaner detects both Operas by default.
  9. Nobody know why Opera 9 doesn't show up in CCleaner?
  10. I tried to add Opera 9 to the winapp2.ini on the machine that is not detecting Opera 9 and CCleaner still does not detect Opera 9 even with it added to win ap2.ini
  11. I have two laptops. Both running Windows XP SP2. Both laptops have Opera 8.54 and Opera 9.02 installed. I just installed CCleaner on both laptops and it's working great on both. I have noticed something strange though with how CCleaner handles Opera. On one of the laptops when I select Opera and than run analyze it returns results for both 8.54 and 9.02. On the the other laptop it only returns results for Opera 8.54. I have noticed that in the winapp2.ini sticky there is an entry for "Opera 9 classic". I have not added this entry to either computer and as I said both machines have Opera 8.54 and 9.02 installed. Why is Opera 9 being detected on one laptop but not the other? Thank you

    opera

I have two versions of Opera installed, 8.54 and 9.02. Both run well. Whats different in the new 9.10 version?
  13. This has been a common problem since 7.5 was released. Fortunatley it's very easily explained and fixed. When 7.5 is installed from a fresh install you will see a first run wizard. In this set up process you can select to set AVG scans as high or low priority. Set it to high priority and it scans much faster than the low priority setting. The problem is you can only see this first run wizard if you do a clean install. If you upgraded from 7.1 and followed AVG's instructions from their web site to use the "repair" option than you will not see the first run wizard. Also there is no option to change the priority setting after the program is installed. It must be done on the first run wizard. You will need to do a fresh install to fix this problem. There are many threads on the Griftsoft forums about this. Here is a link to one on how to fix the problem http://forum.grisoft.cz/freeforum/read.php...,backpage=6,sv=
  14. Glenn was using IE6 and had the same problem so I think it's IE period not just IE7.
  15. SAS is having some scanning issues recently. Untill it's fixed it is useless to me. http://forums.superantispyware.com/viewtopic.php?t=301
  16. Yes the browser is the problem. I was using IE7 but when I use Opera and Firefox it works as it should.
  17. Let me explain a little clearer what I am doing. 1) I follow these instructions How to add your own program to CCleaner. You will need to open Notepad. Paste this into Notepad: ; Application Cleaning file ; ; Notes ; --------------------------------------- ; LangSecRef ; 3021 = Applications ; 3022 = Internet ; 3023 = Multimedia ; 3024 = Utilities ; 3025 = Windows Now Save As, in the CCleaner Folder, Save as type: All Files, now Filename: winapp2.ini, and click on Save. Now you have a blank cleaning .ini file to begin with. 2) Step one works perfectly. Now I go into the listing of programs for winapp2.ini and highlight the one I want and copy to clip board. 3) I than go to the winapp2.ini folder I created in step one and paste the entry from step 2. When I do this the entry pastes into the winapp2.ini but not as seperate lines but as on long line. Than when I launch CCleaner the program is there but not under the propre area. I have followed this procedure before and it worked no problem. For some reason when I copy the program to clip board it won't paste properly into winapp2.ini. It pastes every where else no problem.
  18. Yes I know that and that is where I put it. Problem is when I try to paste an entry in there it doesn't work right. Here is the entry for Superantispyware, [sUPERAntiSpyware (Logs)] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKLM\Software\SUPERAntiSpyware.com\SUPERAntiSpyware Default=True FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\SUPERAntiSpyware\Logs|*.log I copied this from the winapp2.ini listing in the forum. It copied and pasted no problem here. When I try to paste in the winapp2.ini that I created for CCleaner it doesn't look like this. All 5 lines are put into one long line. Than it doesn't display right when I launch CCleaner.
  19. I have installed CCleaner on a new laptop. The install went well. Now I am trying to add some entry's to winapp2 but it does not seem to be working properly. I created a winapp2.ini folder but when I try to paste entry's they don't take properly. I copy the entry from the winapp2 list of entry's here in the forum but when I paste into the winapp2 folder it pastes as one line and does not look like the entry should. Then when I launch CCleaner the app shows up at the end of all the lists not in the appropriate spot. For example, Superantispyware does not show up under utilities like it should. Why is this happening?

I can assure you I wasn't looking for a problem. I would have been very happy to have installed it and have it run perfectly. Hazlenut, Thanks for the link I wil ltry that or reinstall WMP.

    IE7

I installed it and lost the ability to play streaming video on some sites (Google Video and some others). Called Microsoft and they said free support for IE7 has eneded and they would charge me. I said how can you end free support for a product that I just recieved a couple days ago via updates? They said because it has been out "a while now". I said it's been out in Beta not a final product, the final product was just released. He said that is the way it is. I said no it's not. I will roll back to IE6 not use it and continue to use FF and Opera which are much superior products. Thats the way it is A$$ Hole. The arrogance of a company the produces such crap software never fails to ammuse me. They actually think IE7 is some cutting edge break through in web browsers. It's not. It is debateable if it's better than IE6 or not. I find IE7 to be less configurable. The tool bar set up is retarded. I didn't find it to be any faster than IE6. It's not debateable as to if it's better than Opera or Firefox or Maxthon. IE7 is no where near as good as either of them. If IE7 and Media Player 11 are any indication of how Vista will be I am going to pass on that too. I think it's time to get a Mac.
  22. I am trying to add Google Search Current Site and Google I'm Feeling Lucky to the IE7 search box. I followed the instructions that IE7 gives for adding searches to the list of search providers but I don't seem to be getting it right. Anybody know how to add these two search types? If I can I will be able to uninstall the Google Tool Bar now that IE7 has a search bar and I use IE Spell for spell checking. Thanks.
