  1. Use what works for you thats what matters most You said you barley use any of the extensions for FireFox than in that case I see why you would prefer Sleipnir because FireFox in default form is nothing special. It's the extensions that make it good. I will strongly disagree on IE being a more efficient engine than Opera. Of all my browsers Opera is the fastest and use the least resources by far. I run the portable version of Opera off my USB and I can't tell the difference from using the installed version it's that light on resources.
  2. It's not working for me on any browser and javascript is enabled. It was just rolled out over the last couple days so maybe it's not fully functional here yet. They were gradually adding the feature. I will wait a few more days than I will start kicking Google's a$$
  3. From what I have been reading it seems Google has taken Google Suggest out of testing in the Google Labs and added it to regular Google searches. You see suggestions drop down in the search box as you type your search term. Is anybody seeing this? I don't but it's in the Google preferences. I have it set to use Google Suggest but it doesn't seem to be working.
  4. Very few skins and the ones that were there I did not like. No where near the addons available for Firefox and nowhere near the built in functionality of Opera. If you are coming off of IE than it's no wonder Sleipnir seems amazing for you. If you have been using FireFox or Opera and are still amazed by Sleipnir than I would suggest you didn't take Firefox or Opera to their full potential. I have tried every browser I can think off and none come close to those two. My third choice is Maxthon 2 which was also much better than Sleipnir. I keep IE installed because I need it to run Maxthon 2 and with IE7 Pro IE7 is tolerable but clunky to use.
  5. There may be a few things that are unique to Sleipnir. Most browsers have something unique to them and no browser has it all. I can tell you though having tried most of the listed browsers including Sleipnir that Opera is in a league of it's own as far as customizing it goes. Hundreds of mouse gestures. Thousands of skins. Thousands of buttons. Easy to edit ini files for all the menus. I could go on. Opera has a large learning curve compared to all the other browsers I have tried. You can install it and figure the basics out pretty quickly like most browsers but you would just be scraping the surface of what is possible with it.
  6. No where near as customizable as Opera and FireFox.
  7. You can also add a filter list to the Opera Content Blocker if you want to block ads.
  8. There are many browsers not listed there. World browser and Sleipnir for example. Here are a few more lists of browsers. Some are paid and not free. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_web_browsers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_browsers

    IE 8 Beta 2

Oh OK I see now. I use Google Reader so not a problem for me.

    IE 8 Beta 2

What do you mean? Both browsers have a bookmark tool bar. I think every browser I have ever tried has one. I'm not understanding what you are saying.

    IE 8 Beta 2

No. Take a look at this article. http://lifehacker.com/5042941/internet-exp...ar-new-features
  12. Hey is that a screen shot of you? What nationality are you
  13. No offense but you obviously didn't learn in this case. It's clearly pointed out to.
  14. Um this is what a help file is for. The root kit scan on start up is clearly pointed out in the help file. I knew about it 1 hour after I installed Avast. Never stops amazing me the people that will use a program for years and not know many of it's functions because they didn't bother to read a help file. Since Avast has such a disgusting GUI you really need to read the help file to learn all the features. It's definitely not an intuitive GUI like Avira AntiVir is.
  15. Maybe it did but I never had any when I switched from 1.5 to 2. I do have problems with FF3 though.
  16. Your transition was not a smooth one though
  17. Either that or Obnoxious Ahole. I am sure that is what they thought of me after I told them to give me what I want or they could shove the machine up their poop chute These companies never stop amazing me. They act like it's a privilege for you to be buying their products and you should be grateful to them for selling it to you. GM and Ford thought that way for years and they are dying their much deserved deaths as I type this. Does my heart good to see it happening to them to.
  18. You don't need one. If your happy with 2 stay with it. There is nothing new and amazing in FF3. The two big improvements were supposed to be speed and memorie usage. The speed is actaully worse and I see no difference in memorie usage.
  19. I noticed a large slow down to when using FF3. After reading how fast FF3 was supposed to be to say i was disappointed in an understatement. The slow down was even more noticeable to me because I am using Opera 9.5x and it's the fastest browser I have ever tried and I have tried them all. Don't remember FF2 being a problem like 3 is when it first came out but than again I didn't switch to FF2 until it was on something like it's 5 update
  20. OA is not the code 412-0379 is. OA is just the two letters in front of the item description. Other items also had OA in front of them. 412-0379 is the item number for the No Software Package. At least it was when I purchased the machine on October 2006.
  21. There is a Kempelton for FF3. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5394
  22. I don't see any of those files in my TB profile. I compact all my folders daily with an extension Called Xpunge. Deletes the trash can and compacts all folders with one click. My TB profile is 7 MB and I have 11 extensions and 5 themes.
