  1. Glad it worked out for you but what you had to go through is total BS. Norton should die and I mean like yesterday.
  2. Just curious how you are using Zsoft uninstaller if you aren't tracking an install? If you are just selecting a program and and than selecting uninstall you are not doing anything different than the the built in POS Add/Remove Programs of Windows. Zsoft is made to make a snap shot of your system befor you install an app and than again after the app is installed. It compares the two and creates an uninstall log. You than use that to completely remove the app. I follow a similar routine to Andavari but a little different. I use Revo to uninstall first. Revo uses the programs built in uninstaller first than when finished Revo goes into a scan to find left over junk and lists it for you to select what you want to keep and remove. Be careful with your selections. When in doubt leave it alone. Than after Revo is done I clean up with ZSoft.

I use Macrium Reflect Free and Drive Image XML and don't pay a cent.
  4. So does SAS, Malwarebytes, and Spybot S&D, as well as A-squared. Many here complaining about false positives with A-squared. I'm not getting any.
  5. I don't see why resource usage is an issue if all you are going to do is scan. It is not a program you will or can run real time. I do not have false positive issues with it.
  6. Being Canadian you know what I mean though. Seems like there is a Tim Hortons on every corner and their drive throughs are packed every morning. Than you see the drivers mindlessly driving with blank stares while they get their fix into them. I have never had a coffee or tea in my life. Never will either. Good thing to because if I had some Caffeine in me I would be at Norton head office by now inserting computers into places they shouldn't be
  7. Yeah they sure didn't improve FF3 IMO. I still have several extensions that do not work with it plus I find FF3 slower and than FF2. Two big improvements in FF3 was supposed to be the speed and memory use and both those stink so basically FF3 is a step down. The only logical explanation for this is Microstupid secretly bought Mozilla and is Internet Explorifying Firefox. This is the process of taking a good browser and turning it into dog crap.
  8. I don't drink anything with caffeine in it especially coffee. Is there anything more disgusting tasting than coffee? Yuck I can't stand the smell and ever since I took a sip from my mother's cup when I was young I have never touched it. I get a laugh out of seeing all the junkies lined up at the drive through coffee shops for their morning fix
  9. Thats the spirit. Not enough people feel this way thats why nothing is done about it. I won't just be arse shoving laptops. I will find some of those old main frames that take up rooms and I will shove those to
  10. Have you thought of visiting the Norton head office and smashing the machine over an executives head and than shoving the broken pieces up his arse? I think that would fix the problem Oh Waite his head is probably already up his arse so you will have to put the machine up there in one piece to smash it over his head
  11. I can't describe how badly I want to see Norton exterminated as a company. They are a disease. Try buying a new machine from one of the major manufacturers without it or McAfee on it. Than you have to go through this BS to remove the crap and than as Dennis said the crap is part of your recovery partition so every time you you start over there it is right back up your ass. It should be illegal for this. Problem is most people don't care they think that Norton is great so they don't complain about it. If enough people complained the major computer manufacturers wouldn't be putting that crap on there.
  12. Yeah RAM is just a number but if you have a small amount of RAM and FF is using most of it than it's a problem. If you have plenty of RAM who cares if FF is using 70, 80, 100 or what ever. This is coming from a guy that obsessively monitored this and has 17 processes running on my machine
  13. Depends what I'm doing but yeah I hit triple digits in RAM with FF3 and FF2 often.
  14. I'll cross that bridge covered in MS BS when I have to. Maybe by then I will be in the Mac world and I won't give $hit what Gates and his idiot bed buddies do then.
  15. I think I will go install SP3 so I can get all the updates I already have in SP2 fully updated. It makes a whole lot of sense to me
  16. What are you using to get the calendar on the desktop?
  17. Yeah but everybody knows the goats are guilty It's sad when things like this no longer surprise me. I come to expect behaviour like this from the human race
  18. Your with him on that? You say you don't use a down load manager which means you use IE7's built in piece of crap. Firefox's built in download manger is much better than IE7's.
  19. Down Them All https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201
  20. That's another reason I like to use portable apps. Whenever I decide to "install" a program I always look for the portable version first and use it if it's available. That is why I have so many portable apps.
  21. They have revised that use agreement because of the backlash. I would like to see them try to do what you suggested. They would get buried as a company and fast. It would be suicide for them to pull that type of BS.
  22. MPUI is a front end for MPlayer just as SMPlayer is a front end for it. MPUI is smaller than both SMPlayer and VLC. In my screen shot of the Portable Apps start Menu you can see it's installed there. http://mpui.sourceforge.net/ There are hundreds of portable apps out there now. Check this site out http://www.portablefreeware.com/
  23. It's great the things you can put on a USB now. I have most of my main apps on it. I use portable apps on my machines to. When you maintain multiple machines it's much easier to use a portable version of an app and set it up once than copy the folder to your other machines and USB thumb drive. Having to install on each machine separately and than set up the app is a pain on multiple machines. I probably have 50 portable apps if not more.
