  1. The following entry, from the latest Winapp2.ini (230224), [Microsoft Edge Bookmarks Backup *] LangSecRef=3006 DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Edge* FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Micrsoft\Edge*\User Data\*|*Bookmarks.bak has the same typo in its' FileKey1 - the first "o" in "Microsoft" is missing !!
  2. To download the standard, slim and portable builds for a current or previous CCleaner release use the following URLs, where "xxx" is version number, e.g. "603" for current CCleaner v6.03 release. https: // download.ccleaner.com /ccsetupxxx.exe https: // download.ccleaner.com/slim /ccsetupxxx_slim.exe https: // download.ccleaner.com/portable /ccsetupxxx.zip For example, the following URLs would be used to download the previous v6.02 standard and slim and v5.91 portable builds of CCleaner, respectively. NOTE: CCleaner portable build v5.91 was the last working, i.e. properly installed, portable build prior to the current v6.03 release. https://download.ccleaner.com/ccsetup602.exe https://download.ccleaner.com/slim/ccsetup602_slim.exe https://download.ccleaner.com/portable/ccsetup591.zip
  3. I strongly agree with @Melchior that the following winapp.ini entry for Mozilla/Firefox browsers, "Bookmarks", [Mozilla - Bookmarks] ID=2494 LangSecRef=3026 LangRef=9202 Default=True SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA SpecialKey1=N_MOZ_BOOKMARKS added with the CCleaner v5.92.9652 release, be renamed from "Bookmarks" to "Bookmark Backups" to more accurately reflect what is being "cleaned"/removed. BTW this entry has been available in the "Winapp2.ini" extended database of cleaning routines for CCleaner for many years under the same preferred name, "Bookmark Backups *". It was only very recently removed from "Winapp2.ini" with the release of CCleaner v5.92.9652, which made it redundant.
  4. @AnraDownload attached file, Register_DLLs_Actxprxy_and_Ieproxy.bat (contents also shown immediately below), to Downloads folder or Desktop or folder of your choice. @echo off :: 32 bit and 64 bit IF EXIST "%SystemRoot%\System32\actxprxy.dll" "%SystemRoot%\System32\regsvr32.exe" "%SystemRoot%\System32\actxprxy.dll" IF EXIST "%ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\ieproxy.dll" "%SystemRoot%\System32\regsvr32.exe" "%ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\ieproxy.dll" :: 64 bit only (32bit on 64 bit) IF EXIST "%WinDir%\SysWOW64\actxprxy.dll" "%WinDir%\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe" "%WinDir%\SysWOW64\actxprxy.dll" IF EXIST "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Internet Explorer\ieproxy.dll" "%WinDir%\SysWOW64\regsvr32.exe" "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Internet Explorer\ieproxy.dll" Go to this chosen folder or Desktop, right click file and "Run as administrator", entering password if prompted. Restart Windows (Start -> Shutdown -> Restart) and then test fix using Windows Explorer. Good luck! Register_DLLs_Actxprxy_and_Ieproxy.bat
  5. @AnraThe fix for this old Windows 7 problem is to use regsvr32 to re-register two Windows proxy DLLs (actxprxy.dll and ieprxy.dll) and restart Windows. See the following Microsoft forum topic from 2010 for the simple fix (using short .bat/.cmd script) and detailed explanation of the problem. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/folders-open-in-new-window-despite-folder-option/5fba3897-7655-4068-8992-2d8b20063b3f
  6. @Dave CCleaner, in changing the title of this topic you introduced a typo: "crfl" rather than "crlf" for carriage return/line feed. You might want to correct it so others searching for it now, and possibly in the future, will have an easier time finding it. Thanks!
  7. @ThomasLG You can download the standard installer for Ccleaner v5.88.9346 here: https://download.ccleaner.com/ccsetup588.exe Be sure to turn off/uncheck automatic updates (Options -> Updates) BEFORE reinstalling 5.88.9346, otherwise Ccleaner will automaticaly update itself back to 5.89.9401 !!
  8. @trium In the english: "Duplicate Finder", Finder is used as a noun. So, the german old: "Duplicate Finder" is correct using Finder (noun) rather than finden (verb), and the only correction should be using Duplikate rather than Duplicate. So, in summary, the german new should be "Duplikate Finder".
  9. @johnccleaner This topic should probably be moved to CCleaner Browser Help sub-forum. https://community.ccleaner.com/forum/39-ccleaner-browser-help/
  10. @SMalikI believe it's %UserProfile% and NOT %UsersProfile% !!
  11. CCleaner v5.75.8238 Announcements forum posting below has wrong version number of 5.74 rather than 5.75 and should be corrected. Thanks in advance! cbaumer0628
  12. @nateinva I noticed typo in one of your screenshots above. support.periform.com s/b support.piriform.com
  13. Just bumping this thread to get a belated fix for the previous CCleaner release (v5.65.7632) announcement! Thanks in advance!
  14. @Stephen CCleaner In Announcements forum posting for CCleaner v5.65.7632, https://community.ccleaner.com/topic/57660-ccleaner-v5657632/?do=findComment&comment=317202 "Read more" and "View the full article" links at end of posting BOTH link, incorrectly, to exactly the same release announcement for v5.64.7613 https://www.ccleaner.com/news/release-announcements/2020/03/03/ccleaner-v5647613 rather than the appropriate release announcement for v5.65.7632 https://www.ccleaner.com/news/release-announcements/2020/03/24/ccleaner-v5657632 Also, two links to the same thing is redundant, so maybe the "Read more" link should go. Lastly, the release announcement linked to for v5.65.7632 https://www.ccleaner.com/news/release-announcements/2020/03/24/ccleaner-v5657632 contains a second "Smart Cleaning" section with 3 bullet points about languages and translations that probably should be renamed from "Smart Cleaning" to "Localization" to match the Announcements forum posting. https://community.ccleaner.com/topic/57660-ccleaner-v5657632/?do=findComment&comment=317202 Thanks in advance for your kind attention to these matters!
  15. Doing a search on the path, C:\Windows\Temp\CC-Updates\UPDATE-FA2D7D3123A488949AB5ED5991C2CAA2.EXE I concur with hazelnut that the "CC" in the path refers to Adobe's Creative Cloud software and NOT Ccleaner.
