  1. I am having the same issue. CCleaner, despite deselecting, "Windows Explorer: Recent Documents" absolutely deleted every last recent document. This needs to be fixed!
  2. When I deselect Windows Explorer Recent Documents, CCleaner should recognize that I do not want any recent documents from any program, including MS Office, to be deleted. But if you select Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, your temporary files appear to get deleted anyway, when running the Cleaner tool. I recommended CCleaner to a technical friend at work (we're programmers) because his system was going slow and he hoards files. Well, we went through each option to ensure certain files that he wanted to keep were kept after the Cleaner runs. So naturally, we deselected, "Windows Explorer: Recent Documents". We ran CCleaner and guess what. All of his recent documents were gone. He got VERY angry with me and sort of lost his temper. He spent countless hours creating those Recent Files and that was what he used as his starting point for work each day. Now he has to rebuild that file and it's going to take him a long time and he is going to lose a lot of productivity. I offered to run a system restore for him, but he declined because the last restore point he had was several weeks ago and many of the recent items he would have had would not be there. Do you think he's going to use CCleaner ever again? All I'm saying is that when a user deselects 'Windows Explorer: Recent Documents", it had darn well better not delete anything from any program that is stored there. We are using the latest version of CCleaner as of 4/4/13 (v4.00.4064). Thanks for your time.
