What about adding a seperete entry for default.jcd, and have two entries for FlashGet, one to clean the backups, and another for the default settinngs for increased security [FlashGet*] LangSecRef=3022 Detect=HKCU\Software\JetCar Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\FlashGet|Default.bk*;Default.jcd.bak RegKey1=HKCU\Software\JetCar\JetCar|Recent File List [FlashGet More*] LangSecRef=3022 Detect=HKCU\Software\JetCar Warning=This will delete Default.jcd you won't be able to resume any current downloads, and your settings will be lost Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\FlashGet|Default.jcd

tanks for the info, I guess there was a name change, I was looking for [Flash Get*] so I could comment out the active downloads line bud culdn't find it, As a FlashGet user I'd like to have this file Default.jcd removed from Winapp2.ini, this isn't a cache file as FlashGet writes to disk, this file contains information about how far you've gotten in your download, for example you're getting a 4GiB file and downloaded 3 GiB, this info is stored in Default.jcd so when you resume you only need to get 1GiB, also your prefferences are stored there (where to download, how many streams etc.). I know that there might be security issues about that file as it stores info about what you've downloaded and from where but I'd like to hear from other flashget users what do they think shuld that file be deleted? I vote no

but FlashGet is a download manager not a browser it supports resuming downloads, not all servers are fast and not evryone has unlimited broadband, deleting %ProgramFiles%\FlashGet|default.jcd wold pervent resuming current downloads. but Flash Get seams to have been removed from the latest Winapp2.ini, I'd like to see support for Registry Mechanic 6 added.
