  1. Please add this to winapp2.ini to clean xbmc thumbnails of previously viewed movies/clips [XBMC Thumbnails*] LangSecRef=3023 DetectFile=%AppData%\xbmc Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\xbmc\userdata\thumbnails|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%AppData%\xbmc.old\userdata\thumbnails|*.*|RECURSE
  2. Brilliant, will add it thankyou Will you be adding it to a future winapp.ini file? Btw I use ccenhancer
  3. That is true, however ccleaner does warn people against certain options anyway. " are you sure you want to do this? " But yes an " unrecoverable " delete option would be good and no i'm not paranoid, it was just something else that would benefit many people in cc
  4. Lol not paranoid just wondering Guess you could call everyone using ccleaner paranoid though
  5. Surely that doesn't matter, if you're cleaning torrents out they should ALL be cleaned! I clean out after a torrent download anyway, just surprised at what I found
  6. Then CCleaner should in fact have a CLEAN for good option, an unrecoverable state
  7. This directory is full of torrents going way back to 2011, even though Utorrent, Utorrent Bar Logs, Utorrent Ipfilter backup and Utorrent More is selected in ccleaner C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\Utorrent Any idea why? Surely that directory should be clean
  8. Out of interest, what's the point of the normal or secure wipe, even the max one, if recuva can show the viewed files anyway? However i did find recuva VERY useful at recovering my corrupt directory of amiga games
  9. In Recuva, I noticed it was showing ALL of the thumbnails of previously watched movies/clips in XBMC as undeleted. Even though CCLEANER was set to clear the cache! So on further investigation it turns out that ccleaner doesn't touch these directories and might be worth adding? C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\xbmc\userdata\thumbnails There was also another directory C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\xbmc.old\userdata\thumbnails

  13. what the ... Just did a ccleaner before going to bed and once again those two files are back! and can't be deleted Didn't even use kegs.0.91 today or infact this week as it's an old emulator that used to be on the F:\ drive - Right i think i know what's up, i deleted the Recycle bin as instructed on the C:\ drive but there is also one on the F:\ drive for some reason!... So that had to go aswell heh Hopefully that fixed it, does CCleaner work on other drives aswell or just the main recycle bin on C:\
  14. Thanks that fixed it!, not just that an extra 25GB was recovered... Hmm wonder if CCleaner can have some sort of option for fixing things like this?
  15. Unticked, been this way all week can't delete em
  16. CLEANING COMPLETE - (0.961 secs) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 0 bytes removed. Secure file deletion enabled - Complex Overwrite (7 passes) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Details of files deleted ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ System - Empty Recycle Bin 0 KB 2 files ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ F:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-21-1517400092-3480960615-2784785378-1000\$RN4E6G3\kegs.0.91\src\vars 0 KB F:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-21-1517400092-3480960615-2784785378-1000\$RN4E6G3\kegs.0.91\src\vars 0 KB Any idea?, perhaps a fix recycle bin option in ccleaner might be useful...
  17. I noticed that i've gained about 40GB since doing this!, maybe you were right my bin was bugged... Perhaps CCleaner can have an option to fix bugged bins?
  18. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=36403&pid=218647&st=0entry218647 Bug ?
  19. I run ccleaner probably once or twice a week sometimes more if i feel like it with most stuff clicked including recycle bin at 3 overwrite deletion, however today since updating to 3.21.1767(64) it's going through the recycle bin and cleaning stuff that have been cleaned out months and months ago. Has all this time these files never been cleaned and i thought ccleaner was the best option? Noticed for example a number of music tracks and evp's are being ccleaned from 4 months ago!
