  1. To add, I'm totally willing to be someones guinea pig in order to help with this issue anyway that I can, if you need me to try out dev builds or whatever just PM me, I just really want to see this thing get fixed. :/
  2. Still not fix in latest release, not that I'm expecting it to be fixed anymore.
  3. Works fine for me, your settings are out of wack, delete the ini file that keeps the settings so that a new one will be created, and try again. You probably have it ignore files larger then X or smaller then Y.
  4. I use a custom DPI setting of 121%, maybe thats why, but the scaling it still BS and should've been fixed the relase after launch.
  5. FFS, since the very first v5.0 release this issue has been around, I gave you the benifit of a doubt and held off upgrading saying to my self it will get fixed in the 'next' update, but nope, there have been several releases now and it's still there. I guess it's time to complain. Do those checkmarks look like checkmarks? Do those icons look smooth? I keep seeing "- Minor GUI Improvements." in the changelogs, but I doubt that's anything but to pad your patchnotes to look like you do things at this point. Proof I'm not crazy. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=42253&page=3&do=findComment&comment=256454 There was a suggestion on how to fix this back when it was released, adding higher res images or something but looks like it got deleted, so thats cool I guess.
  6. This works! Thanks for taking the time to figure it out, one small correction though. line 4 --> "D:\FolderA\FolderB" should be --> "D:\FolderA\"
  7. ^^ Weird it doesn't work for me, I've followed the above, then populated polluted both folders with random junk like "New Folder", "New.zip", "New.txt", "New Briefcase", ect. then copied them even more and the "Folders" and "Briefcase" were still left after running CCleaner (the other files types were no though). And I think I found a bug with CCleaner doing this, after removing "step 2" and "step 3" rules but leaving "step 1" CCleaner still wouldn't delete the files that were left.
  8. This makes it so folders and things inside said folders do not get deleted, I want everything to get deleted except FolderB I've tried this as well, it does prevent FolderB from getting deleted but nothing inside FolderB gets deleted either.
  9. I want CCleaner to clean a custom location lets call it FolderA, I want to delete every file/folder inside FolderA but to leave one single folder alone that's inside, lets call this FolderB, but I also want to delete all the files/folders insideFolderB. Is something like this possible? D:\FolderA\FolderB So if possible, how can setup CCleaner to delete everything inside FolderA & FolderB but to leave the actual FolderB?
  10. Same on my end, looks terrible, never mind the borders don't respect my OS way of handling them. Old (good) http://i.imgur.com/JVEcSbW.png vs New (bad) http://i.imgur.com/jNEOcLq.png
  11. Many dislike the new 5.0 look, even if it was polished and not buggy it would still displease many, you basically can never please everyone so just give us users a choice for which GUI to use.
  12. So which Piriform employee is this?
  13. As you can see the checkmarks don't even look like checkmarks, the icons and pretty much everything looks pixelated, there is no window animations (like highlighted window and how windows animate when minimizing ) so I don't even know if I'm interacted with the program, is it out of focus? Who knows. Thanks Piriform for forcing this new Shileek new interface upon us.
  14. This might technicially be a work-a-around but it's also quite rediculous to have to do. I really hope this is something the devs will add and add soon, it's sorely missing.
  15. The ability to "move end of a disk" is great for storing archives and whatever things that arn't hugely important for quick read access, but there is currently no way to undo the 'move to end of disk' if they are already there and not fragmented, I really hope we can get a 'move to front of disk' option added that will put things back in the quicker read part of the HD.
  16. Do we have proof that its purly a cosmetic bug and nothing more?
  17. Seems like a buggy release? Practically everything is marked blue, while the page-file should be yellow. I think there's something wrong with the colours in version 2.12.628 this time.... Also the button "defragment selected" is messed up (there seems to be something between brackets but you only see it partially). Finally the process of defragmenting seems to be slower than in the previous version. Using 2.12.628 portable. Hope they can fix this, unless its just me.
  18. Thanks for your concern guys, but I just gave it a test with a dummy folder in basically the exact situation using the mklink /J and deleting the link just removes the link and not the files. It does kinda confuse you though, since when you go to delete the link it asks "are you sure you want to delete this folder" instead of saying "are you sure you want to delete this shortcut"
  19. Okay good to know for if I ever need to remove it in the future.
  20. Hey thanks for that, making a symlink did the trick. mklink /J "link_path" "folder_path" is what I used and now it shows a "Steam" shortcut like folder that takes me to the actual folder on my other drive. A small question though since I'm totally noob about symlinks and this one was the first I ever created, if I wanted to remove this symlink do I just delete the linked "Steam" folder or do I need to remove it another way. I want to make sure I know the proper way since this could delete the actually Steam folder which is 100+ GB's.
  21. This can go for other programs as well, but Steam is the primary reasion for this post. You see I have steam and all my other games installed on my second hard drive D:Games/Steam and because of that CCleaner does not clean Steam because CCleaner sits on my primary OS drive C:Program Files/CCleaner etc. I understand one of the ways to get this to work is to set up an "include" path, then and tell it manually what to delete, but I have no idea what CCleaner deletes from steam to set that up manually. This goes double for the Winapp2.ini, I'd love to be able to get this extra bit of cleaning to work for my other drive as well but everything in it is set to their defualt paths too : (.
