  1. And why are we removing it? It's an entry I use to clean out...
  2. I have this on windows 10, AppData\LocalLow\Microsoft\CryptnetUrlCache... BTW why were all the "*" changed to " *", this is going to cause a headache.
  3. The "Builds" page looks kinda bare. https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds
  4. Yes I use a winapp2 file, yes it's trimmed, and as I said my settings have not changed, all I did was drop the new binaries into my CCleaner folder to replace the old ones, but now the startup time is noticeably slower.
  5. Since this latest release it takes roughly 3-4 seconds for CCleaner to load when previous versions were near instant. My settings have not changed.
  6. So I don't normally post here because I never have any issues :P, but now I do... so I'm requesting a change that changes; [Battle.net*] Section=Games Detect=HKCU\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net Default=False FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Battle.net|*.log|RECURSE FileKey2=%CommonAppData%\Battle.net\Agent\Agent.*\Logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%CommonAppData%\Battle.net\Agent\Logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey4=%CommonAppData%\Battle.net\Setup\*\Logs|*.* FileKey5=%CommonAppData%\Battle.net\Telemetry|*.* FileKey6=%CommonAppData%\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache|*.*|REMOVESELF <--- Change to RECURSE FileKey7=%LocalAppData%\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey8=%LocalAppData%\Battle.net\Errors|*.* FileKey9=%LocalAppData%\Blizzard Entertainment\System Survey|log.txt FileKey10=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Battle.net|*.log|RECURSE FileKey11=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\Agent.*\Logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey12=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\Logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey13=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache|*.*|REMOVESELF <--- Change to RECURSE I've setup symlinks there so the cache is not on my primary drive, but because of this it deletes the symlinks each time. File exclusions don't seem to work.
  7. Can confirm that it has been finally fixed, a big shout out and thanks.
  8. Hey thanks for the reply, i realize this is like super minor issue compared to most issues, but just coming in here and saying what you did goes a long way! Also I might have a some sort of hint or maybe not a hint more like I notice something strange with favicons + CCleaner use. So normally the problem comes from using Firefox > "Internet History" which destroys favicons, but I've also noticed that with my Gmail bookmark, and I mean only Gmail, that if you use System > "DNS Cache" that the Gmail favicon goes poof too, weird, and maybe related? shrug.
  9. You have Chrome installed and just don't know it, many programs use Chrome, Steam for example uses it, so if you have Steam you have then have Chrome registry files showing CCleaner that you have it installed.
  10. Yup, but it's not like I expected it to get fixed or anything.
  11. No need to "assume" anything, they lay everything out here. https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=49067 And no it's not loaded in memory on boot, it's a Task so it runs based on that, and what I did was delete the newly added Task and the CCUpdate.exe from the folder and it still runs like normal.

  13. Still not fixed in v5.34.6207 despite the claim in the changelog. : /

  15. That's exactly that! Glad to know it's not just me, Hope it gets addressed in the next release anyway that thread title sucks.
  16. So I have everything internet related option wise checked to off, "Automatically check for updates to CCleaner" for example. But I've noticed that if you leave CCleaner open for a few minutes just idling, 2-3~ or so, my firewall will go off because CCleaner is phoning home or something, what is this? A bug?
  17. This must be a new (bug?) with either Firefox 55.0.2 or CCleaner 5.33.6162, because I used to always clean "Internet History" with no problems like this, but now when I do so, opening Firefox all my Favicon's are gone from my bookmarks. I've narrowed it down to CCleaner's "Internet History" option that does so.
  18. https://blog.avast.com/welcome-piriform-to-avast Time to panic guys!!! CCleaner, Speccy, Defraggler and Recuva are all going bye bye, Avast are going to turn these programs into bloated disguised ads... Okay maybe not. Discuss.
  19. Did you even read the release notes? This is an improvement.
  20. A quick question I have, whats the difference if any, between downloading winapp2 file and running the .bat file to trim it manually vs using [Voldemort]? I gave [Voldemort] a try for the first time yesterday and it produced a winapp2.ini 54KB's in size vs the one I trim manually with the .bat file that was 71KB's in size. From what I could tell at a glance while running CCleaner, everything was there.
  21. Thanks MrV! Guess you can lock this thread now, as it seems solved.
  22. With the latest update of Ccleaner v5.05.5176, well the images speak for themselves.
  23. Actually I just noticed now that with this update the icons are misalgined. But I'll make a new post to help better track the issue.
  24. With the update of v5.05.5176 today, I think you can call this fixed. Big thanks to whomever fixed it!
