  1. i came here to make this exact suggestion. its annoying not knowing what is actually being deleted. there should be an option under 'View detailed results' that will show you what reg keys were deleted. for example if you 'Analyze/Clean' the 'Run (in Start Menu)' it says "0 bytes to be removed. (Approximate size)" because it’s not deleting any files but it does delete registry keys in ‘HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU’. i really think this needs to be added so at least users know what they are deleting. i know you can export the winapp.ini & winsys.ini which show the default ccleaner rules and winapp2.ini for others that were added. then i can use REG QUERY to check and see what registry keys will be deleted but that’s a lot of work. at that point i might as well just delete them myself.
  2. windows update just updated Mouse and Keyboard Center 2.0 and the install directory was changed to '%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center'. the regkey's are still the same. [Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center*] LangSecRef=3021 DetectFile1=%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Device Center DetectFile2=%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center Warning=This will also delete all app-specific settings. Default=False RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\IntelliType Pro\AppSpecific RegKey2=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\IntelliPoint\AppSpecific i have a minidumps folder in my firefox profile with files like 'e5bcf7b5-1f07-4bcf-9df2-d94dc3dcff75.extra' that when opened in notepad show a bunch of crash info that im guessing gets sent to mozilla. the files are a month old and still sitting in their even though about:crashes doesnt show anything. [Minidumps*] LangSecRef=3026 SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*\minidumps|*.*|RECURSE
  3. i hate when programs add folders/files to my %UserProfile% directory that is what %AppData% is for. i would sugest using REMOVESELF instead of RECURSE so the empty folder is also removed. [.Thumbnails*] LangSecRef=3021 DetectFile=%UserProfile%\.Thumbnails Default=False FileKey1=%UserProfile%\.Thumbnails|*.*|REMOVESELF have you looked into the '%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\ImplicitAppShortcuts' folder? every sandbox i create in sandboxie will create a folder with a shortcut in it named '[sandbox name] program name'. example '[temp] Firefox'. the only non sandboxie file i have seen is a Control Panel shortcut which windows will create when the control panel is run. http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?PrivacyConcerns http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=12671 [implicitAppShortcuts*] LangSecRef=3025 DetectFile=%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\ImplicitAppShortcuts Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\ImplicitAppShortcuts|*.*|RECURSE another suggestion for the Firefox/Mozilla section is to remove the 'Firefox' from entries with it in their name. example 'Firefox webappsstore.sqlite'. i realize there are multiple webappsstore.sqlite for the different mozilla programs but it looks weird when only a couple of the entries say Firefox when they are all firefox entries. Adblock Plus Backups, Adblock Lite Backups and FlashGot are detected by DET_MOZILLA so they show even if you dont have them installed. thanks
  4. no. its keeps a list of every program you have run under those keys. a side effect of deleting them is it will also remove the app-specific settings. maybe you should install it and look before commenting.
  5. you should add an entry for 'Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center' which i think replaces IntelliPoint and IntelliType. under these 2 regkeys it creates a subkey for every executable file you run. the only problem with deleting them is if you set any app-specific settings you will also lose those settings. i wasnt sure if these keys also exist for IntelliPoint/IntelliType so i detected it by the install directory instead of the regkeys. thanks and keep up the good work. [Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center*] LangSecRef=3021 DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Device Center Warning=This will also delete any app-specific settings. Default=False RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\IntelliType Pro\AppSpecific RegKey2=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\IntelliPoint\AppSpecific
