I will explain the context, the behavior of recuva 1.42 and the behavior of recuva 1.10
Context:
I have deleted by mistake a folder of photos in a SDcard of 16GO (fat32) plug in an usb adapter.
The disk appeares in window XP as removable drive, of course.
Also, after this mistake, I don't write anything and start recuva directly.
With recuva 1.42:
after a scan, the directory is found with the correct name but all photos inside are NOT recoverable .... strangely overwrite by sector of other older files. No preview available.
With recurva 1.10
after a scan, the directory is found with an incorrect name (named 'new folder' !!) but all photos inside are recoverable ! the recover is OK and the preview is ok also! Well everything was restored.
The issue?
the restore was available only with the 1.10 and not with the 1.42. Something goes wrong when the soft looks for fat sector table.
(How I fin this bug? I have an old version. The folder name " frightens me and I download the lastest version. but the result was worst with this one Anyway, This tool is pretty useful. Thanks to the developer)
