  1. ...haha...yeah I know I could do a goodle search, but I thought posting here I would get a more definite answer...instead of gathering one point from one site, go find another, grab that one, and another take etc. until I get enough points, I combine them together....Here, I thought you guys might do all that for me as, I think, most of you already have a job.... - So, no lying... - Try to keep in the same font - Keep it to one page (not sure if it can be back and front.... ) Taken from http://forums.sureshkumar.net/companies-info-recruitment-process/7979-how-prepare-good-resume.html Taken from http://www.youthcentral.vic.gov.au/Jobs+&+Careers/Applying+for+jobs/How+to+write+a+resume/ Taken from: http://www.kent.ac.uk/careers/cv.htm Oh well, that answers my question what a CV is... I'm not sure with this one, because the one I used to get into uni had the the "curriculum Vitae" in big fonts at the first page in borders....so if that's a CV, I can use my uni CV as my job CV? If a CV is the same as a resume, then I can use my CV that I got to get into uni? ... and then it goes on...blah blah blah....so many sites to read and so little time to read all.... mmmm....like I did to get into uni? idk what I did, but I don't think I smiled or anything like that.... What if the guy offers a handshake before I? Do I offer another one after that one, probably look and sound funny though.... Hahaha, break fingers! Hmmm...say the job or where I want to work is at some computer shop....what should I know about it?
  2. That file was needed even for just installing KernelEx....So yes, I already had that file in system under windows folder. Okay, it was either that or the other. I will try both this tiem asn what the outcome is. Yes.."should" be free.... Hm, it could crash because of different Kernel32.dll file version....I've already contacted the developer of the KernelEx by sending the guy a message....hasn't replied yet....maybe I should try the forums....if they let me... So you want me to install this program on either XP, VISTA or 7 and just copy paste the files from there to my WinME directory of Defraggler? Or do you wan me to use XP, VISTA or 7 to defrag that hardrive using Defraggler in native OS? Well, I don't remember Defraggler requiring MS .NET 3.5... ..and I don't think there's one for Windows ME OS or Windows 98 SE....
  3. yes, it is interesting, isn't it? [whispers -> false advertising....] Tried both locations, apparently when I try to place it in windows, Kernel32.dll is being used!!?? I guessing it's from KernelEx....Kernel32.dll.bmp I used the XP's one. Are you sure it's just this one file and not another(s)? Unless you changed your install directory....yeah, I got WINDOWS as well for Windows ME... Doing that after this....and see for reply. That's what I was trying to express... but my crappy English... Yeah, it's great, they should update their description.
  4. Oh yeah...didn't see that...sorry. Anything else from you about this could be helpful! What about the resume??
  5. well...I'm guessing that's why it takes forever to transfer small files from my flash drive on to my HDD....But still, it's solid performance...performance shouldn't be affected by the size of the file....it should transfer files in groups or clusters...that's how I thought transfer of flash or solid based disk would do.... Welll, here's my tower specs if you think it's upgradeable: - CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 - GPU: Inno3D 9400GT - Motherboard: Intel DP965LT - RAM: 4GB DDR2800 SDRAM - HDD: 80GB SATA HDD dedicated to OS and programs, another 500GB PATA drive dedicated to games... - Case: Beige Mid ATX Tower ( I think that's what it is...) - Optical Drive: LG DVD RAM burner drive - FDD: Yes. - Monitor: 17' CRT Sonic View (and some model number I don't know...) - Standard Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse - both using PS2 ports... - ...and I think that's about it, unless you want more info? You can't unless it uses batteries....Do the chargers count? I don't think CRTs have the xMS screen refresh rate...maybe because it's constant regardless...which, I guess would mean why it's picture/motion is smoother than that of a LCD....Vibrancy would be different on different CRT monitors....The size of the LCD monitor must match that of the overall computer you're building. So you're not gonna stick a 30 inch LCD on a office performance like computer and play games on that at max settings with max resolution....you need to balance it out as I have figured... -> top of the line CPU, would definitely benefit from water cooling system, maybe a top of the ling GPU too! Now I hear the GTX680s are out! Not sure how much performance they are more than of the gtx580, but I'm sure it's still more. But that won't beat the grand performance of the Asus Mars II! Hahaha....
  6. ... So....SSDs are best for large files but HDDs are best for smaller files? Refurb? Ha, like upgrade my existing computer? LCDs use 75% less power than CRTs? How come they both take in full 240 volts of power from the wall, then? I had always thought CRTs had better colours, more vivid and image/picture was more smooth...or maybe coz all my computers use CRTs? ...you need to run the native resolution for LCD screens to look their best, otherwise they can be ugly....CRTs, resolution change doesn't affect image quality, besides the fact that it gets bigger or smaller. Don't know which lasts longer... I'm not looking into building a laptop.... watercooling as I stated before might be best for most efficient way.
  7. Well, I can, I know that coz I got windows 7 Home Premium, but don't know if you can...you're "home" computer is windows 7 Enterprise Edition? Didn't think home users could even have such an operating system like that...
  8. ... I just only start...well a few months ago...
  9. Ha, yeah the card would have to be a top of the line one if you want it to keep it at, and beyond 60fps in any game, even the ones released this year.... 1.5k dollars seem, yes quite good enough for me, but I heard that even at this price range, some games just play at around 30 - 40 or even less at maximum graphics settings.... Now 3k dollars, that would be something I might be heading towards....but the price figure is what keeps me away from it....but, if you choose the right gear to balance it all out, that "should" be enough....of course minus the visuals, so stock everything, except hardware that's not related to looks, ie CPU GPU etc. Hm, $6k, seems like a more reasonable price estimation to a top of the line gaming rig....with or without them nice looks....hm, I would assume a top of the line gaming rig would be something along the lines of this list: - CPU: Top of the line for pure gaming, in this case; that would be the (since I favour Intel over AMD) Core i7 xxxxx and maybe OC' - GPU: Quad SLI Asus Mars II (I actually always wanted the Mars series but never get the chance to buy them coz their too expensive.... ) yes, four seperate Asus Mars II graphics cards, not two. *apprently this is also the world's most powerful graphics card - RAM: Probably maxed out RAM capacity and speed settings that the motherboard can support! Maybe OC' too! - Motherboard: Pure gaming one, that doesn't have those un-nesseccary assesories....(so it's just drivers + OC' software(OC' software isn't that needed unless you plan to OC' everything, which I don't need, which just only leaves the optimised drivers for gaming ) and that's it) - PSU: One that can support quad SLI of Mars II and CPU and is certified for OC' (Basically built for any pure gaming rigs...) - Case: probably a big ass one to fit all those things in - Cooling: Most probably water cooled.... - HDD/SSD: 1 SDD dedicated to OS, another SSD to games.... - OS: That would be my picking....Probably quad boot it.....or maybe dual boot.... All that = my dream gaming rig! *sigh* one can only dream....
  10. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... What about at home? You can do this at home, can't you? Or are you working from home? Or does does home also have this ediition? I thought that edition also had it...hm, must of thought of some other edition then....
  11. Hmm, KernalEx isn't wokring as I had previously thought. By surprise, they also added in the ability to emulate other OSs, like VISTA, 2000 and 2008 etc. Interesting, I might say. But still even with the other emulations, they don't work... 2 and 3 will give you what I mean by emulating other OSs on top of 2000 and XP: ...incase you were lost.... After install, run.png is what I got.... And lastly, when I try to run it again, this happenned: Looks like, unless you have the required files that are on XP, on ME, you won't be able to run it.... Nice try helping, Super Fast, but it would seem that unless I have that and possibly more files already installed, I'd be able to run it....After all, all this program does is emulate windows, but doesn't "really" give you the full native emulation....unless of course this program had a plugin that would have those files necessary to run installed, so I can run it...which, so far, I cannot see it. I'm still getting to BartPE....I need more time...damn assessments from uni....
  12. Uh huh....like wearing pro black suites(professionalism?, or is casual good?)? What's P's and Q's? ... What about the resume? what is supposed to be included in that? Am I able to use the same one I did to get into uni?
  13. Hi, I suppose I'm continuing from one of my previous post, I think it was on that price of a new custom built PC one or something - yes, that's it! I said something about getting a job. Right....seeing how this is my first time....how should I procede with this? I've already chosen where to grab a job from, but I'm not sure what to do before getting serious....I heard some people just got rejected or ignored for some reason, they said, "all you have to do is hand in your resume, and that's it!" Well...I don't think that's quite all of it...hmmm, I'm stumped....and sort of lost too. I'm hoping that, if any of you guys got a job, could tell me how to properly and hopefully get a better chance of not being ignored or thrown out coz of some reason or rather.... The main reason being, of course, is to get money so I can build my dream gaming rig - if I can accumulate that much money... Thanks,
  14. I see. That was the kind of feeling I had with that feature, at first....best on kids who are new to computers, but against user like me and you - you don't want it on.... I like manually typing in my admin password for every program that asks for it, even thought my admin password is actually a CD key to one of my games!! Oh, the grief I had when I started off! Now, I memorised the entire sequence of 25 alpha-numerical CD key! Hahaha... I can now relax knowing that no one's gonna break through my password! ..unless, of course....hackers from the internet.... got to watch out for them.... Anyway, unless someone else say otherwise or you know, might comment to this; my topic is solved. Thanks guys!
  15. Sure, just need some time to see to it. I will look into that...thanks!
  16. Oh, I see....so using parental control on a standard account, if the program isn't listed under the allowed section and you try to unblock it using admin's account, it will always run under that admin account. SO basically you get admin authority just giving it to that program you're using? Hm....this does sound a bit....un-expected..as I had thought once clicked always allow, I would assume the program would only run at the authority of the current user and not that of the admin...But in truth, I suppose you do have something that's right, as before, without parental control on, it'd ask for admin password, but now, once always allow, it does not need ask anymore....hmmmm, I think unless you don't plan to run anything other than the ones added to the lust, it'd be safer to just use a standard acount with no parental control..,
  17. ... I see... ...um....hmmmm...what's that?
  18. Hi, I don't know, but I'm just too attached to older OSs....Is there one for the windows 9x/ME line? Also, if there is one, is it better than the integrated windows' defragmenter? Thanks.
  19. Um, before posting the topic? - No. After your post? - Yes. But that didn't quite answer my question...
  20. Hi, I guess I'm sort of new to Windows 7. I was testing the parental controls under this OS, just to see what it was like. You know how you put all this restrictions on one's account? - Well, you know how when you try to open a program under the account with parental control on, you get the window that says only admins can unlock this process for you, or something like that? Once you type in the any admins account's password(in this case there's only one admin account on my laptop) and it says always unlock, or always block. I click always unlock so I can always open the file without that annoying window popping up. So, my question is; once it's set to always allow, does this mean this account - with parental control on, has automatic admin authorization on that particular program? Thanks in Advance.
  21. Hmmmm, yes....soooon, of course.... Don't know if I'm good enough for their expectations... Oh, the interview, if I even get to that stage, will probably be the hardest to get pass...
  22. Oh okay. I did look at some topics for a few seconds...Thanks for the help, anyways . I'll eventually get a job...
  23. Really? ..any game? At maxed out visual settings? running at at least 60 or more fps? Includes Metro 2033? Crysis 2? Others? Well, ever since pure gaming is what I've always been done(for the past 3 or so years...) my last build was 6 years ago and that costed around 1000 - 1500 dollars....Now, I wanted to know how much a top of the line 2012 or 2013 gaming PC would cost...so I can build my next one. Just need to accumulate money, is obviously the first step... yeah, maybe capable, but I'm wanting a computer that can play any games at 60fps or higher at any resolution. I don't want a computer that can just barely make it to 30 at maxed out everything in visual settings and in highest resolution possible....I've never had a build that could do that, now I want it - atleast for once in my life....a nice PC, can run any games at 60fps or higher at maxed out visual settings at maximum resolution...that's the reason behind that question... Now for that link, whoaaaa, 1000 pages of topics, more than that of posts!? wow. Probably very time consuming this is, but atleast you get there. Just give up a quater or half your life just to read all those....yeah? But anyways, I guess I'm on the right track, about 5 gran....gosh...a lot to save up and I don't have a job to help! Could win the lotto though...but that obiously won't happen....
