  1. Right, that's good, but will the Pro portable installation I made update itself when there is an update seamlessly? That's the only reason I may want to purchase it as I have no interest in any live monitoring or any of the Pro features are than the pro updater. Why don't you guys just give the pro owners the ability to have a pro portable version officially?
  2. Hi there, I have a few questions about the CCleaner Pro license 1) Can I buby a pro license yet not install it, as in only use the Pro version? Is there a portable Pro version as I don't like to install CCleaner usually just run it on demand 2) Does the pro license impose on how many times I can re-activate it? The reason I ask is because I format a lot and don't keep any software licenses that restrict me on how I use my computer. I know some programs would blacklist the key if it was reactivated a few times even if it's on the same PC with the same OS/specs.
  3. Nevermind, fixed within a minute of me tweeting it to Piriform
  4. I am OCD about these event log errors bro. Plus, the error happens every reboot without me even touching CCleaner or accessing its folder.
  5. Im just gonna format and never use CCleaner again! it was once the best cleaner now it only causes me trouble. First it was corrupting my search index, now this event log error. i've had it
  6. well since I don't have CCleaner installed and I only use the portable version, how can I stop this error message? How to delete all traces of CCleaner?
  7. I saw many instances of this error in the Event Viewer on my Windows 7 Professional SP1 (x64) Alienware 18 laptop: I don't even have CCleaner installed, I just use the portable version
  8. I haven't even noticed it man! thanks for drawing my attention to it! I'll monitor the errors over the next few days and hopefully it doesn't corrupt my Index so I can continue to use CCleaner. Cheers Bro
  9. I thought this was fixed since version 3.5.......... but the moment I ran CCleaner, after a while I saw this in Event Log: Crawl could not be completed on content source <winrt://{S-1-5-21-3719700465-3453217553-2011399094-1001}/>. Context: Application, SystemIndex Catalog Details: The parameter is incorrect. (HRESULT : 0x80070057) (0x80070057) That's the reason I have stopped CCleaner for a while and now decided to give it another try but no luck
  10. Yeah but man a full day to defrag a drive that's insane. I've tried every defragmenter out there and the difference is night and day! O&O Defrag, Perfect Disk, Ultra Defrag, Puran Defrag, Auslogics Disk Defrag, they all finish within 10% of the time Defraggler needs to finish. Don't tell me all thoe big companies and apps paid and free don't know what they're doing and Defraggler is doing something right that they aren't. That's just not right.
  11. I am not able to download the latest portable version, when I click download it just takes me back to the main page please fix!
  12. I tried all Defragmenters but I like Defragger because I can get a portable version that doesn't have any of these gimmicks which actually slow my system down like prevent defragmentation before it occurs on the fly such as the one present in PerfectDisk, but defragmenting my 4TB external USB 3.0 HDD which takes about 1 hour on average with any other defragmenter now takes more than 24 hours with Defraggler. I have noticed this since more than a year and just tried to download Defraggler again hoping it has improved but same thing. Why is it so slow? Please improve it.
  13. I wasn't able to find any info about my laptop's screen in Speccy but HWiNFO hass all the info about my screen's model and whatnot Can we please have a new module for the screen in Speccy? thanks
  14. I never read docs or readme files in 15 years of using computers and never will. I think it's better if we have like a pop up caption for each feature
  15. Thank you for the fast action for fixing this chief I just hope that future versions will not have this active monitoring enabled by default and no tray icon unless one intentionally activates the active monitoring.
  16. I have unticked the monitoring, exited from the tray, then removed CCleaner from the startup entries..... the moment you launch CCleaner again, the bloody tray icon is there until you again manually exit by right clicking on it then choosing exit! who the hell made this stupid decision to include live monitoring in the free version! time to switch to another cleaner!
  17. Defraggler is the slowest Disk Defragmenter across the many programs I tested. Too bad, CCleaner is the best cleaning utility in the world hands down yet Defraggler from the same company is the worst ever Defragmenter
  18. I downloaded the latest CCleaner 4.18.4842 Portable edition and upon checking the options, I ticked the "Enable System Monitoring" by mistake. I then saw the CCleaner icon in the taskbar. I hate having any unncessary apps in the taskbar so I unchecked the box but it remained in the taskbar. I then exited CCleaner completely, but the moment I re-launch it, it appears in the taskbar again even though the "Enable System Monitoring" box is unchecked! What's more annoying, now I have to do 2 things to completely exit CCleanr: 1) Press the X Button to close its main window then...... 2) Right click on the taskbar and choose exit Please fix this!
  19. Nevermind, just tried it and it DID clear out the temp folder of my username sorry
  20. Yes on every version this happened. And today when I tried the latest version, this is when I decided to register on the forums and post this Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
  21. One of the first things I do when I run CCleaner is go into the Advanced Tab, then add a folder manually to delete all the files/sub-directories in: C:\Windows\Software Distriubtion\Download Those are installation files downloaded by Windows Update, and after Windows Updates installs the updates, it forgets to delete the installation files. I have always deleted them for more than 5 years now (also in Windows Vista) and never ran into any problem. So rather than me doing this manual addition to that folder to delete the contents of the Download folder (and its subdirectories since the setup files are always stored in subdirectories), can Piriform add this option for us users to select by default ? Thank you
  22. I have unchecked the option "Only Delete Files In Windows Temp Folders That Are Older Than 24 Hours" but when I run CCleaner, there are still some files left out in the Temp folder located in C:\Windows\Temp There aren't any programs that are running that may be using any of those files. what I always have to do is to manually add the Temp folder located in C:\Windows\Temp in the advanced options, then when I clean, it actually empties it out. But this shouldn't be the case right? It has happened to me in EVERY version of CCleaner in the past and I thought it is time to report this bug already. Hope you can fix this. Thanks PS: My Temp files in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp DO get cleaned out just fine.
