  4. Would that be with or without a broken arm ??
  5. It's is about time that they said this words, Think it could be a good thing, if all users actually perform this check and read what each setting actually does and not just activate away.
  6. The site isn't that user friendly and it assumes that the user is scanning their own sites. The couple of sites that I tested worked nicely getting hits. Case in point http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/www.lpmxp1072.com But thanks for the input hazelnut
  7. So today i got a new website via ESET to upload a URL and see if it's invested or not http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/ Hope it saves someone time and money !!
  8. Just as a thought that statement made by Curt Peppers held no water. Why would, TheWebAtom still hang around here if it was . (all in good/funny humor intent)
  9. Hear thee, Hear thee It was foretold *Notes date and time for historic purposes*
  10. Can be a bit of both, but stating CCleaner is half assed is a bit of a bold statement, isn't it ? Seeing that you get Aggressive and none aggressive cleaners on the net. CCleaner (without the help of winapp2.ini) being none aggressive.
  11. A bit off topic but from the original post link. This was in one of the comments made by a poster called Curt Peppers Just, WOW is all I can say.
  12. A phone today in some instances contains more usable information then pcs in my opinion. Maybe you should just check on your neighbors, you will never know if they are trying to dial "home" . WarGames is a good movie. Hmmmmm 16lb you say, do you think it will do the job vs just using a Nokia 3310 ?? The question that one has to ask onself if you play with this sort of things is to distinguish between when is it a prank or a joke and when does it become a business for you. But yes busniess is good.
  13. So I got this mail today from ESET This RAT sounds like a interesting little rat .
  14. Aww shucks LuLu Winapp2.ini This one is just for you seeing you're going back to school.
  15. Most of the times I uninstall any preinstalled software for example that Cinema Now Media Manager, CyberLink DVD Suite Deluxe, LightScribe System Software. HP loves to preinstall a lot of free applications with their laptops now. Why do I do it some may ask, the answer is simple it's not a driver to make something work. Most users run the installer for drivers and this install a lot of additional junk that most users will never use. Example mother board drivers and their tune up utilities, if you only look for the .sys and .ini files on the DVD provided you can install 99% of your drivers you will ever need without any extra overhead.
  16. Hey there, I have tested this on my v4.16.7643 and all seems to work. What I have done is, right click on the file name and click on "Select All of Type" this checked all files with the same file extention excluding one within the same group of duplicate files. Note: File Finder is still in debate with some users on the forum, it has a lot of bugs and false hits. So make sure you manually check some of the files.

It's about time USB Type-C cables http://news.filehippo.com/2014/08/new-usb-cable-finalized/ One small step towards Skynet http://news.filehippo.com/2014/08/autonomous-robot-mission-completed-us-military/
  18. Cleaning a PC is like cleaning once house, you start with the obvious. First uninstall all none essential software via Programs and Features or normal uninstallers. Then you start removing files manually example music, photos, excreta (SIDE NOTE: just make 100% sure you backup the files, if you needed to) Then you start with the "hard" hitting cleaners. CCleaner would do a good job, right click on a entry and just say Analyze if you get any results check it. After you analyzed all entries on both Windows and Applications tab and checked all that's needed run the Cleaner part. After all the cleaning is done you can run Defraggler just to tidy up your hard drive for you. On another side note: By just running Microsoft Security Essentials you are most likely not 90% covered from Malware. It is strongly recommended that you get dedicated Malware software like Malwarebytes.
  19. Well seeing you are running Vista, what is your CPU and RAM spec ? Have you tried to uninstall all none essential software that you haven't used in the last two years or so ? By going on your post it seems you are not running any Malware software for example Malwarebytes. Give it a try maybe there is something slowing your system down.
  20. It's highly unlikely that malware could be the cause of the problem. Seeing you brought it up, what malware and antivirus do you use ? Can you post a screenshot of the registry entries and provide the name of the software being affected ?
