If you continue to click on that page you quoted, it will ultimately ask you for money. I know because I went all through it. In any case, I believe my problem to be the driver - not the spooler.

Printer-spooler service is Started and Automatic. I unclicked it, then clicked it again, clicked Apply - it didn't work.

Thanks nodles - I clicked on the link and it turrned out to be an ad for driver update. About $30. The printer-spooler fix was about $35. If possible, I'm trying to avoid paying because I have no way of knowing whether these sites are legit.

Thanks kroozer - yes, I had tried there, but I tried again. After 2 days of installing, uninstalling, downloading, etc, I still can't get the printer to work.

Anyone know how/where I can download a printer driver for a HP Laser Jet 1020 printer? The disk it came with (3 years ago) isn't working. I switched from XP PRO to XP Home. After that, the printer stopped working. HP won't talk to me snce it's out of warranty (they want $60). Other sites offering drivers seem like scams. Any help appreciated.

I just installed this program and it is not giving the correrct antivirus program on my computer. The one is it giving was uninstalled about 7 hours ago. The new one was installed shortly thereafter.
