  1. Yes, you're right. The word "App" is an unfortunate choice and should be removed. (IMHO it's always better to modify an existing entry, so that the winapp2.ini doesn't include duplicate keys.) I'm not sure about removing the "SkyDrive" code: Is it confirmed that old installations were also updated to the new name "OneDrive"? But I think "DetectFile" isn't necessary, because SkyDrive/OneDrive always created the HKCU registry key.
  2. In winapp2.ini already! [OneDrive App Logs*] But we should change the detection to: [OneDrive App Logs*] LangSecRef=3021 Detect1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\SkyDrive Detect2=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\OneDrive Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\SkyDrive\logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\OneDrive\logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\SkyDrive\logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\OneDrive\logs|*.*|RECURSE
  3. Thanks for fixing! Forgot to move to Chrome section: [Extensions State*] Forgot to move to Firefox section: [Adblock Plus/Edge For Firefox*] [Archived Data Reporting*] Please use "Find and Replace" with "Match case": Find what: Filekey Replace with: FileKey (There are 5 wrong written FileKeys.)
  4. Duplicate entry names are not working, even if they are in different sections. These entries are duplicates (one for Chrome and one for Firefox): [Crash Reports*] [html5 Storage*] [Logs*] [Temps*] [updates*]
  5. DetectOS should work as follows: #5365.
  6. Thanks for your reply. That's very strange, on my system RECURSE works as expected. But ok, we shouldn't remove these FileKeys if they are needed on some systems. @ROCKNROLL: So please ignore my changes for [Microsoft Edge More*] and [internet Explorer More*]. Thanks!
  7. Modified entry: [Apple Device Updates*] Combine FileKey 1 and 2. [Apple Device Updates*] LangSecRef=3023 Detect=HKLM\Software\Apple Computer, Inc. Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Apple Computer\iTunes|*.ipsw;*.log|RECURSE Modified entry: [Microsoft Edge More*] Removed FileKey 11 because it is covered by RECURSE of FileKey 12 already. [Microsoft Edge More*] LangSecRef=3022 Detect=HKCU\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\SystemAppData\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe Default=False Fi
  8. Never mind! Thank you for the fast update!
  9. You can remove following entry because it's included in CCleaner v5.27 now: [Foxit Reader 8.0*]
  10. You just forgot to add a backslash at the end of the path: ExcludeKey1=FILE|%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_*\AC\INetCache\|container.dat ExcludeKey2=FILE|%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_*\AC\INetHistory\BackgroundTransferApi\|container.dat Alternative: ExcludeKey1=FILE|%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_*\AC\INetCache\container.dat ExcludeKey2=FILE|%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_*\AC\INetHistory\BackgroundTransferApi\container.dat #4274
  11. If someone want to remove the Retail Demo, I think this is the better way: Settings > System > Apps & features > Manage optional features Uninstall all "xxx Retail Demo Content" entries.
  12. Duplicate entry: [Yahoo! Messenger Desktop App Cache*] LangSecRef=3022 Detect=HKCU\Software\Yahoo\Messenger DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\yahoomessenger Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Yahoo Messenger\Cache|*.* LangSecRef=3022 Detect=HKCU\Software\Yahoo\Messenger DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\yahoomessenger Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Yahoo Messenger\Cache|*.* Edit: A similar diction of the name "Yahoo" would be nice. (All "Yahoo" or all "Yahoo!" ?)
  13. What about just renaming? Something like: [Windows Memory Leak Detection*]. (BTW it is your entry. But it seems that a name typo has happened. #2105) Because since Windows 7 there is no really use for them. I never had any problems with these two entries. They don't delete the only important subfolder "TaskBar" and they both show warnings. (And for Windows 8 you suggested the second entry also. #2401)
  14. Ok, thank you for the clarification. I use the search function of Notepad++ with a regular expression: - Find/count entries: ^\[[^\*]*\*\] - Find entries without asterisk: ^\[[^\*]*\] But you can also use "trim.bat" to count the entries.
  15. Some small fixes: Winapp2.ini: "# of entries" should be 2,571. Non-CCleaner / Winapp2.ini: "# of entries:" should be 2,571 + 51. And does the last fix work? > FileKey1=%UserProfile%\Desktop|OpenOffice.org * Installation Files|RECURSE Shouldn't it be? > FileKey1=%UserProfile%\Desktop\OpenOffice.org * Installation Files|*.*|REMOVESELF
  16. Thanks for the fast updates! Some small fixes: - Winapp2.ini: "# of entries" should stay 2,569 (one new entry but also one removed). - Non-CCleaner / Removed entries: [Memory Dumps] has no asterisk (*) and "# of removed entries" should be 51. - Non-CCleaner / Winapp2.ini: [Memory Dumps] has no asterisk (*) and "# of entries:" should be 2,569 + 51.
  17. You can remove following entry because it's included in CCleaner v5.22 now: [Live Kernel Watchdog*] The subfolder WATCHDOG (FileKey2) is covered by RECURSE of CCleaners entry.
  18. Found two small issues: - The "# of entries" should be 2,568. - The entry [OpenRA Replays] has no asterisk (*).
  19. 2 workarounds: You can open the Winapp2.ini file directly in the browser and then copy and paste the whole content into a previous Winapp2.ini file (with Win/ANSI format) or you can use "Notepad++" to quickly convert the downloaded Winapp2.ini file (Encoding > Convert to ANSI, Edit > EOL Conversion > Convert to Windows Format). But there should be an alternative download with Win/ANSI format because CCleaner doesn't like the UTF-8 format (Post #5665 to #5667). Maybe as a compressed file so GitHub can't change the format anymore.
  20. Please check post #5665 to # 5667 for information and workarounds.
  21. Unfortunately downloading using the direct link does not help. But Copy & Paste works flawless. I prefer using "Notepad++" to convert the downloaded file (Encoding > Convert to ANSI, Edit > EOL Conversion > Convert to Windows Format).
  22. Thanks for the update! Typo: [360 Browser - Cache*] - FileKey3 has no equality sign (=). The new file has UNIX + UTF-8 format which causes some problems: Windows Notepad does not recognize the UNIX line breaks. And CCleaner does not like UTF-8 because special chars are displayed wrong (for example: "Dr. Despicable’s Dastardly Deeds*" is shown as "Dr. Despicable’s Dastardly Deeds*"). I think this will affect Detect/FileKey/RegKey also, therefore the file should be DOS/Win + ANSI format.
  23. Usually DetectOS works as follows: DetectOS=from|to For example: DetectOS=6.0|6.3 detects Windows versions from Vista to 8.1. If you leave the "from" side blank it includes all previous versions. If you leave the "to" side blank it includes all subsequent versions. For example: DetectOS=|6.0 detects all Windows versions from XP to Vista. And DetectOS=6.0| detects all Windows versions from Vista to 10. If you omit the pipe symbol "|" (e.g. DetectOS=6.0) it should be the same like leaving the "to" side blank (e.g. DetectOS=6.0|). The only strange thing is that DetectOS appare
  24. It works flawless on Windows 8/8.1.
