  1. That is correct, because there is no default policy for Edge. You must add the registry keys and values yourself. Please read the following post:
  2. What I had forgotten about the topic: The "WebCache" is also partially cleaned by CCleaner. When you run "Internet Explorer - Temporary Internet Files", you see that the modification date of the database files changes. CCleaner tries to clean up the database itself. Therefore the "WebCache" was removed from the Winapp2.ini entry for some time. However, since CCleaner leaves some traces, "WebCache" has been added back to the Winapp2.ini entry. On my systems there are also the "systemprofile" paths.
  3. What I know is that the folder "WebCache" already exists much longer than the "Microsoft Store". The folder was already cleaned in the Winapp2.ini entry from the pre-Windows-8/8.1 time. However, the Internet Explorer engine is strongly interlocked with the operating system. Many functions and programs that require Internet access use parts of this engine and thus also the "WebCache". I would leave it as it is.
  4. I don't know any cleaning option that would delete the contents of your personal "Downloads" folder. CCleaner only deletes traces of downloads, not the downloaded files themselves. The only tool I know and that really does this is the Windows own "Disk Cleanup" respectively "Storage Sense". https://www.howtogeek.com/403009/how-to-prevent-storage-sense-from-deleting-your-downloaded-files-on-windows-10/ Edit: Is it possible that you're using the Android version?

  6. Unfortunately, they mostly use SpecialKeys for browsers, so the changes are not visible in winapp.ini/winsys.ini. (The latest update with the addition "recent searches in Microsoft Outlook" also uses a SpecialKey.)
  7. Thanks for your quick reply. Are these entries ok? 8. Thank you for pointing that out. I really wish that Piriform would let us know if they were implementing anything from the Winapp2.ini. The change logs are often not very detailed.
  9. Where to move the keys with "\Temp|*.*|RECURSE"? Also to [Internet Explorer *]?

  12. JFYI: I didn't install Foxit Reader, so I simply added the two registry keys "Foxit Software\Foxit Reader" under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\". Now you can run TRIM and the results will be as follows:
  13. Thanks for the revised entry and the replies. Winapp2.ini updates: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/65a0564df9b27c516edfde530a00a466c366b3d5 https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/4a9d5257de081c68c43c77900d18acc41d664554
  14. I do not think so, because this is a special case only for this one extension. (The extension possibly does not comply with the specifications for Chrome extensions?) CCleaner's built-in entry has been removing these folders (HTML5 Storage) for a very long time now, without any issue reports.
  15. Ok, I think I found the responsible CCleaner entry: [Google Chrome - Internet Cache]. So it is not caused by the Winapp2.ini. To protect the icons of your extension, you should exclude these two folders: C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\File System\000\ C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\File System\Origins\ Note: The "000" folder may have a different number. But right after cleaning up all temporary files and importing the extension settings, it should be "000".
  16. Some months ago, an issue with another extension was reported. The responsible entry was [Google Chrome - Session]. You can try excluding the following folder and see if it helps: C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extension State\
  17. Please make sure that you are using the latest version of Winapp2.ini. The responsible CCleaner entry must then be found: Right-click on the first Google Chrome entry and select "Clean <entry name>". Then check to see if the issue occurs. If not, continue with the next Google Chrome entry until the responsible CCleaner entry is found.
  18. Thanks for the modified entry. Winapp2.ini update: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/01a2ad4cef959173e49e3a0e9ce02a2ccfbed4ba
  19. Yes, because there is no default policy for Edge. You must add the registry keys and values yourself. Or you could do it like this: https://forum.piriform.com/topic/53177-how-to-disable-pre-launching-and-pre-loading-so-ccleaner-can-fully-clean-edge/?tab=comments#comment-302353
  20. I can confirm this behavior. If the entry uses "Detect=HKLM\Software\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader", Trim does not detect it (and trims it out). If the entry uses "Detect=HKLM\Software\Foxit Software", Trim detects it.
