  1. As I remember, there are normal-looking Internet Explorer-generated files in those folders that are there both before and after cleaning. For instance, in the Cookies folder in the location in my post above, there are multiple files with names like "CBWTOP9.txt" (I made this up from memory) with file sizes listed as ~1kb, and the ubiquitous "index.dat" file. The History and Temporary Internet Files folders have the file types expected there also.
  2. New here, hope this hasn't been posted already. :^) I'm on a system using XP/SP3. I access the internet using a fully updated version of Firefox (currently version 9.0.1), and CCleaner v3.14.1616 cleans my cookies/history/etc perfectly. However, another user of this computer uses AOL software to access the internet, and it seems to use Internet Explorer (not sure of the details here). Anyway, when they log on something creates an entire duplicate folder structure for cookies/history/etc, and all the files contained there are not cleaned. The folders created are: C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Local Settings\Temp\Cookies C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Local Settings\Temp\History\History.IE5 C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 Note that the \cookies and other folders are created in the Temp folder! When I delete these folders, they are re-created the next time the other user logs on. Can CCleaner be updated to clean these files? Thanks!
