  1. Same problem for me. Running OS X 10.8.4 on an Intel MacBookPro 9,1 with 16GB ram and 500GB SSD. I do have the Courier New.ttf (note, NOT CourierNew in 1 word, but with a space).

    Any ideas???

Rename it ;) Or copy it and then rename the duplicate

  2. Just a question for the developers, can't you edit the Information block at the top (of the Mac App Store) telling people they should visit piriform.com for the latest version? Or does Apple not allow to update information on rejected apps?

  3. I think it's CCleaner's responsibility to disable a (potentially dangerous) feature when an SSD is detected. If Mac was smarter it would prevent CCleaner from being able to run the tool, but I dont think it's the OS's responsibility to intercept every stupid thing 3rd party developers attempt to do.

I've just discovered that the repair tool is disabled on the primary (operating system) disk drive. That means anyone who runs the Wipe Free Space tool on an unsupported volume is basically screwed, unless they can find the files created. That's actually a rather challenging task, as the location of said files seems to change.

For future support queries, here's an image of the interface in question. It's called 'Disk Utility' and you can easily find it with the search function.

Completely agree with this. The option should just be disabled with a little note there telling people that they can't use this feature because they have an SSD and that it's for their own protection :)

BTW, after a few months, I guess this should've been included already :S

  4. Sorry for posting on this topic four months after its creation, but I have a similar problem to the one described above. Like LazyCarrot, CCleaner crashes immediately upon launch. Unlike LazyCarrot, I can't remember anything out of the ordinary that I've done recently that might have caused it to start crashing. I did try to use the "Repair Permissions" tool, but canceled after about a minute of nothing happening, realizing that the tool would take more time than I had.

I'm running OSX Version 10.8.2, and trying to run CCleaner Version 1.03.131.

And yes, I've tried restarting my computer (twice), uninstalling/reinstalling CCleaner (twice), and running a virus scan, none of which did anything to help. I've also checked my fonts, all of which are enabled (including Courier New).

I'm at a complete loss as to how to deal with this, so any advice would be appreciated.

Is this what I have. Running 10.8.1 and using CCleaner since the 10.8.1 version came out. Can think of nothing I did then now "CCleaner Quits Unexpectededly" on launch. Uninstalled and deleted and reinstalled and same thing. Nothing I can do will get it to work?

I'm sorry for replying to you guys so late, but I'm just now starting to help Mac users here :)

    I have 2 questions:

    1) Does this problem still happen?

    2) If so, upgrade to the latest OS X (10.8.3) and update to the latest CCleaner version (1.07.133)

    3) If it then still happens, please post a list of all the apps you have installed. Perhaps there's an app you both have installed that creates this problem.

If it still happens, I'll dig deeper :)

  5. Word! I gotta check this out to see. Interesting!

    Haha

I don't really think I would consider this a bug as such. Malwarebytes © symbol looks close the the word copyright.

Some companies place the © symbol after the copyright word and not before.

I think we can let Piriform off with this one whiner Vincent :)

Yeah, I saw that in CCleaner and Defragller there was a space between :)

    Greetings

    - The whiner :)

  6. Hello,

While gaming, I use the speccy "Summary" tab on my 2nd screen to check the temperatures.

Something I'd like to see in Speccy is a clock somewhere.

I have 3 possible places where it can be added (check attachment):

    1. In the right corner
    2. Next to the "Check for Updates..." link.
    3. At the bottom of the navigation tab. (Which I find the baddest)
