  1. Hi. Are you guys still going to issue an update for this issue, or do we need to just wait for the next general release? Thanks/jim
  2. Yes - command line switch /auto seems to work fine again -- thank you!! And the complaint was that it took 76 days for this major bug to be fixed, not whether we had to wait for a monthly release or not
  3. No it isn't, and you'd think that Piriform would've been on it because clearly their most loyal users are the folks who know what a command-line switch is... It would be nice to have a quick fix and release, and not wait a third - or is it fourth - month for this fix.
  4. That would be nice - thanks. Nicer would be not waiting another month to see the fix.
  5. I believe they already informed us the fix would be in the next release which should be any day now..
  6. Hi. Been using this command-line in a batch file for years.. not using Malwarebytes.. using Ccleaner free. "c:\program files\ccleaner\CCleaner64.exe" /auto As of 5.44 ccleaner seems to launch for a millisecond then die. Reverting to 5.43 restores desired behavior (the /auto) works. Plz advise, thanks! /jim
  7. Wow - imagine when you guys change a major feature! The blowback....
  8. Thank you for listening to us. I'm pleased that our wishes are being respected. Yes, significant slow cleaning of Edge and IE persists - I'm sure you are aware. I avoid Edge so I can disable the cleaning there.. Thanks/jim
  9. I believe I found the solution. As unpleasant as it may or may not be for you, wipe your existing Chrome User Data completely and start over. Since sync is enabled to the cloud, many of my settings, favorites bar, plugins, etc come right back — though they need a little tweaking to get them just right. After doing this normal CC results resumed.
  10. Just installed the new version -- it ignores Chrome cookes even though I do have it checked 'on'. See screenshot below - the clip to the right is Chrome showing 608 cookies. Note cookies are absent from cleaning report.
  11. I feel like breakout out into a number from "Les Mis!" -- thanks Stephen!
  12. Seems to me they release a new version monthly. Whether it will take a few for the new little feature to be added or not I dunno.
  13. Yeah I realize that but the whole thing was silly. I just don't like people being a**holes.
  14. I deleted my comments - sorry I got testy. Please delete them outright. Best/jim
  15. There is a simple solution Piriform: as you make changes / evolve the application, just be sure to make the tried-and-true interface readily available to those who prefer it. People don't like change, particularly when it is cosmetic and not increased functionality. Add and make changes as you see fit - it's your app - but this post and the flurry of "upvotes" should let you know that your installed-base expects changes to have a "not me" button. Thanks for your responsiveness. Best/jim
  16. Augeas, I don't visit this forum often -- I notice you are a "moderator": Do the developers etc keep an eye on what we're talking about over here? When I started this thread I didn't realize there would be so many "up votes" for my view on this issue.. Thx/jim
  17. All we're asking for is a new option under advanced options so those of us who prefer it can directly receive the old advanced summary by default.
  18. If you’ve already selected “file list view” in advanced options, then you are already overriding the new summary page - so yes you have never seen it. The image from my original post is the desired page I want the app to be able to default to with an option.
  19. I tried to be a bit more diplomatic Developers have to constantly update stuff to justify their jobs - the new default display is pretty useless for a program that is otherwise relatively technical as opposed to being "one-click for novices". Unrelated to ccleaner: I hate the new Windows 8/10 Start menu, and have used one of the common replacement programs called Start10 since day 1 of the release of Windows 8 to get back the traditional Start Menu. There is simply no better or more optimized way for a start menu to work than what they got to as of Win 7 -- but of course they keep **improving** it!
  20. Thanks for the latest 5.41 update. The new "Summary" results page is nice, but the old Advaced Results page was just fine and is no doubt preferred by some of us longtime users. Some things didn't need improvement There is an advanced option for results to appear as a file list, please either add an option to get the old advanced summary every run, or at least preserve this user-selection for future runs if manually chosen. Thanks!
